But, if you do a bunch of research on a topic to write about, then you do know it. So, you are writing about what you know, because you now know what you want to write about. No way you're writing a hospital drama completely devoid of any knowledge on the subject.

This is so lame. Why are they so literal? "Write what you know" is about emotional honesty not about an occupation or a location. At least Shonda Rhimes talked about research but once that's done, you know enough to write about the subject and are, therefore, writing about what you know.

Judd is the only likeable one here lol

Shonda writes drama, and Judd Apatow writes comedy, therefore their opinions on sex are naturally different.

Nolan's aren't only dislikable, they're loathsome plagiarists, should be run out on a rail.
