    No one can stop me know I'm like a human dynamo Live wired and chargin' out with power This time I won't hold back I'm rarin' to get up and go Fuelled up and growin' by the hour Look out I'm blastin' through the lines Alive and kickin' Watch out I'm young and lethal I'm goin' from here until eternity I'm feelin' reckless Way outa hand, a real survivor Reckless Comin' at gale force ten Around me I feel the shock waves, Building for the energy A force field no one can break through Solid as rock no wonder I am indestructible First placed in everything I do Look out I'm blastin' through the lines Alive and kickin' Watch out I'm young and lethal I'm goin' from here until eternity I'm feelin' reckless Way outa hand, a real survivor Reckless Comin' at gale force ten Radioactive I'm shootin' through the atmosphere Takin' off I'm headin' like a rocket through the stratosphere. Look out I'm blastin' through the lines Alive and kickin' Watch out I'm young and lethal I'm goin' from here until eternity I'm feelin' reckless Way outa hand, a real survivor Reckless Comin' at gale force ten I'm feelin' reckless Way outa hand, a real survivor Reckless Comin' at gale force Comin' at gale force ten I'm feelin' reckless Way outa hand, a real survivor Reckless Comin' at gale force Comin' at gale force ten

    Became a fan in '86 when Turbo came out, and this was one of my favorites on the album. Have owned all the albums and dvd releases, and am a priest fan through and through... yes, even through the years when Owens was singing. This song rocks, and now that songs are being updated for new tours, I'd loooooove to hear it drummed out by Travis and rocked harder on guitar! LONG LIVE THE PRIEST!

    Priest @ the time of this album was trying to reach the younger crowd and got ragged on for it at the time, blows my mind really, no one can touch them...Eventhough this disc is lighter than most priest, the guitar is smoking hot.and its straight quality...They were always the best live band to see..

    back at those who wish they would play this on tour... I wish they would too! However, when JP goes on tour, they play their new album heavy and pull the other songs out of a hat.... literally! They admitted as much in an interview back in '93 I think. What they put on live albums and dvd's is a different story - they boil down the whole tour to the best performance of each song, taking into account the entire year long tour.

    Fun fact about this song being in the movie Top Gun: “We were down in the studio mixing the album and everything was just working out,” Downing recalled of the moment they were approached for the project. When the filmmakers heard “Reckless,” they believed they’d found the perfect song for the closing credits of Top Gun. There was just one problem: The contract called for exclusive rights of the track to go to the film’s soundtrack. If Priest agreed to the deal, they would not be allowed to include “Reckless” on Turbo. “We decided not to take it off [Turbo],” Downing explained in an interview posted on his official website, adding that the band didn’t want to change the LP’s construction because it “thought the album flowed really well.” “That was a big mistake on our part.”

    I agree with you ...I may accept cryticism to Turbo in mid-80s, from people born and grew up listening metal from the beginning and which disliked synths... the same happened also for Maiden "Somewhere in time". Now we can say both albums are a milestone in METAL music, especially because both bands did something different from their previous works

    @garrettkirkthompson Indeed! I love it from start to end. Everyone used guitarsynth or a lot of synth in their music during the mid-late 80's. Not like it was just something Priest only did... 'Locked In', 'Turbo Lover', 'Hot For Love', 'Parental Guidance', 'Reckless' and 'Private Property' are standout tracks for sure.

    Turbo had more synthesizers and some pop-ish influences that were popular in the mid-80s. I think it just makes this album "different" rather than "worse" or "bad" but as you mentioned it's a contentious issue.

    Ok.. Time to clear things up.. Yes, this and you can throw in Point Of Entry as well... Both albums were "weak" compared to Stained Class, AOR, British Steel, SFV, DOTF, and Painkiller.. But hell, if you're a real fan like a bunch of us here, and especially myself, now going to be 20 in a few hours, we all grew up with this music, and damnit, WE LOVE IT NO MATTER WHAT! It's Judas Priest, the biggest and most badass Heavy Metal band in this Universe. Defend The Faith and love the music! \m/ \m/

    I wouldn't say Owens was a horrible singer, he just wasn't the right fit for Judas Priest. It wasn't the same effect as when Dio (and later Martin) came in for Sabbath and it clicked and became somthing new. Owens came in and it was something that just didn't fly with alot of people...especially with the potential that a Painkiller-like direction would've had for Priest in the 90s. Could say it was "Halford or no deal".

  • @DavePainkiller
    @DavePainkiller13 жыл бұрын

    @pman1018 True.. But, it's not that it didn't fit, but they would have had to pull it from the album in order to use it for the movie.. But hell.. Does it matter? It's Judas Fuckin' Priest! This song kicks major ass! \m/

    I put it like this: no band is perfect. Even though I love Judas Priest, I don't love all of their songs. And who does? I think that Jugulator and Demolition were atrocious. Reckless is a really good song, and Turbo is not a bad album. It's just different. Ram it Down also has a few songs I love, but not everything.
