@@palliare-carpediemz.u.pall569 Priest have never been that reliable. Point of Entry, Turbo, Ram it Down, the second Ripper album, were all poor. Angel of Retribution and Redeemer weren't that amazing either. I got into the band in 1983 and saw them on the Defenders of the Faith tour. So I kinda started at the peak, there was only one way to go from there.

In spite of being the best 2010's metal album I do not like Firepower that much. To me the overal sound on this album is too focused on the 80's. On the contrary the sound on Invincible Shield seems to be more modern than on their previous album. Songs are even faster which is a great thing. Yeah there are many traces of the Firepower sound present here on IS, but its a step forward for me at least. Definitely gonna buy their new album unlike Redeemer of Souls (for me their worst album). Can't wait!

Really Alan? I was standing a few metres back to the right and the circle pit for Priest was the craziest one I saw all day - people were being knocked over at speed, it was full-on! I've since said to heaps of people it was the most hardcore crowd for the day, there was nothing like that for Slayer who immediately followed. The video is of the band not the crowd, don't know how you could come to that conclusion from that video - even if it had been the case which it most certainly wasn't. Lamest comment eva!

Al Royce Avorque Why can't people read. Who's said that Firepower wasn't a good album? All sorts of tricks can be used in the studio. Listen to Rob here, he's awful. We are criticising their live performances. It's as if Spinal Tap we reborn. Cliched shitty guitar solos. I can see why the Americans like them, reminiscent of dreadful eighties hair metal bands of that era. Boy, did America try and ruin the metal genre. They should never be forgiven, and Priest went down that road too.
