Lyrics:
Hypnotize me
Mesmerize me
Feel my willpower slip.
Light my fire
With cold desire
Losing all my grip.
Eat my diamonds
Drinkin' all my gin
Feast your eyes on
A whole lotta sin.
On no you're so damned wicked
You got me by the throat
Oh no got your claws stuck in me
You never let me go
I believe you're the devil
I believe you're the devil's child.
I believe you're the devil
I believe you're the devil's child.
Took my dreams
And now it seems you're nothing but a liar
Smash and grab at all I had
Build my funeral pyre.
Stop pretendin'
Got me growin' old
Your tormentin's
Fit to snap my soul.
On no you're so damned wicked
You got me by the throat
Oh no got your claws stuck in me
You never let me go
I believe you're the devil
I believe you're the devil's child.
I believe you're the devil
I believe you're the devil's child.
You took my heart
And left it blown to smithereens.
I gave my body as a slave
You cut my flesh
And drank my blood that poured in streams
I'm left here broken and ashamed.
Goin' under
Hear the thunder
Death defying grace.
Your condition breeds ammunition
Shoots me in the face.
Vivious talkin'
Stabs me like a knife
Scratched and bruised, so abused
I'm a human sacrifice.
On no you're so damned wicked
You got me by the throat
Oh no got your claws stuck in me
You never let me go
I believe you're the devil
I believe you're the devil's child.
I believe you're the devil
I believe you're the devil's child.
I believe you're the devil
I believe you're the devil's child.
I believe you're the devil
I believe you're the devil's child.
I believe you're the devil
I believe you're the devil's child.

I saw this tour in Charlotte, and a few days later in Johnson City and you're right, they were at the top of their game and they made it look easy. We couldn't believe what we were witnessing. General admission had just come back after the Who tragedy in '79, and we ran our asses off to get in the front row. Dave was throwing broken drum sticks so far over our heads we couldn't reach them. The one thing you don't get from a video like this is just how loud it was. The kick drum would nearly knock the wind out of you, and every guitar riff shook the entire building. It's honestly hard to describe. The lasers were amazing too, we had never seen anything like that back then.

I don't know... No matter wich songs I listen on KZread I can always read someone's comment saying it's the most underrated or one of the most underrated... According to them the underrated Priest's songs are: -Ram It Down (the whole album except "Ram it Down") -Nostradamus (same, the whole album except "Nostradamus"). -British Steel (I'm the first surprised here... Putting "British Steel" and "underrated" in the same sentence is just... Weird... It doesn't fit). -The entire Sad Wings of Destiny album. The only ones are songs from Angel of Retribution, Painkiller, Defender of Faith and Firepower and maybe Redeemer of Souls too... See what I mean ?

I think at this time he can switch from grit to clean. Partying made his voice actually thinner and sharper (some recordings in 82 and 84) also it depends how many shows he'd gave the days before this (if you do this daily at this intensity it will hurt your voice).

That was only my second concert after AC/DC a couple months earlier, same Coliseum and same spot on the floor, stuck again and loving it. What a 2-punch baptism into the world of heavy rock and metal concerts. Got to see AC/DC 3 more times and Priest 4 more times, all in the 80's at their peaks, except for Priest in 2005.

The rest of the band matched Rob's voice, or probably more accurately, drew it out. It is easy to forget the others in the band, but you can listen to just the music (without voice) in these songs, and it is epic.

I saw Priest on this tour about a month before this show in Memphis. I still think this was their greatest tour, and I've seen them numerous times over the years. I'm looking forward to seeing K.K's Priest in the future. It's a shame he's not with the band any longer.

Priest is now tuned to Eb. Ever since Rob returned in 2004 , in order for him to continue to hit the high notes in the songs, the guitars are now down tuned. This song is in std 440 tuning but listto it played on the Nostradamus ( or was.it Firepower, can't remember cause I have seen them so many times and went backstage to meet them) the guitars are lower in the later recordings.

Close to being at the concert, unfortunately I was 13 and living in a foster home that didn't believe in music like this, until I came home at 15 AND made up for LOTS of lost time and moments...

What an awesome live video here and that's how I remembered them too. Just complete awesomeness
