Lyrics:
Full moon is rising
The sky is black
I heed your call I'm coming back
The road is straight cast
Wind's in my eyes
The engine roars between my thighs
From desert plains I bring you love
From desert plains I bring you love
Wild mountain thunder
Echoes my quest
My body aches but I'll not rest
Quartz light to guide me
Till sunrise leads
My passion screams, my heart it bleeds
From desert plains I bring you love
From desert plains I bring you love
Then in the distance
I see you stand
On the horizon you raise your hand
In burning rubber
I end my quest
You fall into my arms at last
From desert plains I bring you love
From desert plains I bring you love

Starting with Unleashed In the East, British Steel, Point of Entry, Screaming for Vengeance and Defenders of the Faith, nobody has ever made 5 consecutive albums that great in Heavy Metal History. 3.) I took my wife to see them at the Angel of Retribution Tour and let her wear my original '82 Screaming for Vengeance Tour t-shirt and nobody there was wearing one and freaked out she was wearing it. It made me happy she wore my shirt when I was 15 so proudly but she did weigh only 110 lbs and half that weight was tits! 💥 👊 JUDAS PRIEST 🤘🎶 🎤🎸🎸 🥁 🎶 🤘 Best Ever 💥

Halford was never an opera singer lol this seems to be a strange fan myth, which has no evidence nor does Halford talk about it himself, yet seems to spread because someone heard it from someone else. Similarly, the stuff above about false cord use and compression sounds like nonsense, but unfortunately there's a lot of vocal coaching about which creates all these strange terms.

I mean you gotta love Desert Plains & Hot Rockin' or you're not a vintage Priest fan! I met Rob for all of 10mins back in 86' after the show here in MD...had NO PAPER, so Rob signed my arm & I took a couple crooked photos of him..rest of band was at the club "Hammerjacks" in Baltimore...I was dying to meet KK like all us young blonde women were, and at 18 we weren't allowed to even put a foot in the door of that club... I was pissed I didn't get to do him...uh...OOPS!.I meant MEET HIM..😳

@@shellwalsh3317 Now I gotta hand it to you, that was pretty much the most epic concert story I’ve ever had the privilege of discovering! Considering the era(mid 80’s), your age and gender makes your experience LEGENDARY as far as I’m concerned! Most folks haven’t the faintest clue just how exciting and thrilling the Priest live experience was(particularly the late 70s and thru 86/87ish)! I mean, think about it: a whole generation of kids whose parents were war babies had essentially the same amazing, fascinating, incredible, thrilling and dangerous pastime ritual...i.e. piling in the big old American car and driving way too fast while not wearing any seatbelts and chugging beer, smoking pot, and feathering our hair and having the absolutely greatest times of our life as teenagers coming of age in the Reagan years!!! Little did we know how great we had it, but we definitely knew one thing-that us rocker kids in the US could be 3000 miles away from each other and have essentially the same common experience and trade places with each other and we would tell pretty much the same stories anyway. Shoot, I saw Priest in ‘84 in Spokane, WA and Irvine Meadows, CA when I was 17 years old. Hell, if I was in MD in ‘86 I would probably have making awkward goo goo eyes at you in the parking lot before and/or after the show...LOL Holy Hell I love you!

Love Dave Holland's drumming in the middle. So tight and with such groove and feel. It's quite hard to play something like that at that speed. He's been kinda overlooked as a drummer imo, mind you not surprising given the events of his post-Priest history.

Judas Priest really took a rather slow paced song in Desert Plains and here live turned it into one of my true favourites! Rob Halford's voice is so incredibly smooth (such as "the engine roars between my thighs") in some parts and then he displayed THE most amazing & unique vocal range from HIGH to LOW! Fantastic! I only saw them once in concert, but I will never forget the 'unearthly' Eagle type cry of Rob Halford's voice. Cheers!

2 years later...... Idk if you ever notice but most of their songs are slower on the albums then they do live... And someone not to long ago told me that most of JP albums are structure in 2 parts ... First half is really heavy and fast paced... Compared to the second half of the album... But if you looked those songs live ... They tend to up temp the songs to sound heavier and faster... Again who knows of its true or not... But from what I've been noticing ... Is true lol

Saw the roadies setting up the explosions - but as soon as I heard the harley sound,,,,forgot all about them.....I'll never forget halfords hitting the front brakes - kicking his leg over the handlebars - and marched right up to the edge of the stage - raised his fist and BOOM !!! the first 5 rows all fell to the floor!!! I was the first one to get up !! Helped my buddy get to his feet - and they were balls - deep in Hell bent for leather--- glen was smiling-- my eyebrows were gone and I still can't here very well in my right ear 👊💥 true story. !!
