Nah he paid the cartel fees at each checkpoint for the most part they really dont nother you as long as you pay. And they dont see alot of value in blacks so if you follow the same rules you would in any hood they will look past you. Now you pull up in a toy flashing, same thing we do, they do.

Can trust what said, becouse the U.S. puts a spin on everything for political and race reasons, I would not put it pass, they count people who have dead of natural causes, live in Mexico, a white dude for 46 years, over the years seen a lot of bullshit, about Mexico, for general crime especially crazy stuff the U.S. more dangerous, most of the murders are cartel related, that's why you don't seek that life and the cartels do not run nor control Mexico, a U.S. fairytale, the cartel mess with you when you seriously mess with them, I bet your travels through Mexican cities, you never even seen a fist fight

For anyone who is curious about what parts of Cd. Juárez he is wandering. Those are neiborhoods close to the border bridge, they are known as Altavista, Colonia Popular, Felipe Ángeles. Being close to the border means those are the first parts of the city (the city just expanded to south bc it had no more place to grow) and it means they are very old; some buildings are abandoned, the roads and services are scattered, business zones just moved to south bc there are more people at those places. I could say it's an abandoned part of the city. Said that, u'll see many of this in just a few square miles, feels like cherrypicking cuz the city is way much bigger than this. However, i like the idea of showing this for the archive value. Cheers

Juarez is actually Mexico's most dangerous city or at least was in the recent past (it keeps changing). Unlike most of Mexico, many of the border towns including Juarez have huge junky populations (Tijuana is even worse) but Juarez is also plagued by street gangs and random street robbery etc. in addition to the cartels. Mexico as a whole has far lower rates of hard drug use then the US, but it's still a growing problem there and some of the border areas are major junky towns...

If you are a female then don’t go out alone. Don’t be speaking English or showing USD. You should be fine just don’t go into areas like Anapra or Arroyo de Las Víboras. People always think entering bad areas = death or makes you brave when you're driving around not bothering anyone, I've wandered the streets of east/west Baltimore and north philly plenty of times at night and I'm still here. Don't get involved in crime and mind your business and you'll be fine unless you walk around looking scared and nervous no one's paying attention or messing with you. It's the people who have to live in the areas or involve themselves in crime and are being exposed to drug dealers, gang members day in & day out who are at most risk. Sure anything can happen but it's rare if you're passing by and don't live there. Either way I appreciate the time and documentation of places I haven't been or curious to see .

People always talk about Mexico being a shithole but in Juarez, arguably one of the worst and most dangerous cities in Mexico, the streets are cleaner and less sketch than most of the hoods in the United States he visits LOL. No crack/heroin zombies wandering around aimlessly, there aren't hookers on most of the corners. The streets are pretty clean. Granted back in 2010ish when there were decapitated bodies dangling from bridge overpasses things might have been different but it looks pretty cleaned up now.
