Juan Manuel Fangio Four Wheel Drift
Спорт
I found this very short clip of Fangio performing a four-wheel drift in one of the 1950s F1 documentaries. However, the camera's position and the video's quality make it difficult to see. If you know anything about cars from that era, you'll know that they frequently drifted on four wheels. Unfortunately, this wasn't always captured on video, and here's an example of one in slow motion.

Thanks for the share. Why is it so hard to find examples 4-wheel drifts?

Most of the time they're extremely subtle

Because they're hard to master compared to typical drifting, four wheel drift means minimum countersteer, to little you'll eventually spun out too much and you'll loose momentum while cornering, you have to find the right steering angle, and also the body angle.

Because of modern day drifting. It has distorted the results. It took years for me to piece together examples mostly consisting of Fangio and Tsuchiya Keiichi.
Now, that is driving! Let’s get back to skinny tires!
Es prácticamente derrapar sin girar el volante 😳, buscando la mayor velocidad posible
Where is it?

You can see the latitudinal slide right before the right tyres come across the curb. 4-wheel drive drift is pretty much turning the car initially, and then straightening up the steering wheel while the car "powerslides" through the corner. No steering necessary mid-drift most of the time.

@@gseric4721 a good example is to look at that Goodwood race showing it. The cars seemingly powerslide to the outside
it looks like more powersliding than drifting

It's none of the two, 4 wheel drift is just a name, fangio just slightly let the wheels slide at the entry to point the car at the exit sooner, allowing to put ont the throttle sooner, that's basically the technice.
