Younger folks like Adam 22 and or people who aint fully into hip hop often dont realize how big Pac was before Death Row . Not sure about every region of America but i know when Me Against World came out i was in half-way house out of juvenile prison in Phoenix and MFs had Me Against World album on Boombox 24/7 it was like streets bible . His first introduction was Digital Underground whom was mainstream with some major hit . Trapped, Brendas Gotta Baby, I Get Around etc... dude these was heavy rotation MTV , BET, etc.. to be in regular rotation on radio and mainstream T.V. stations then you was huge . Yea, was one hit wonders but Pac was far from that. He continiuosly and conssitently flooded the main stream with some major songs ans hits. Then he got into movies and we all know movies is a whole notha level above rap as far as stardom goes .

I'm 40 from the southeast. 2pac was a massive star in the early 90s before he went to the Next level with Death Row. Me Against the World was the biggest album in the country especially after he got shot that first time. But the songs that really blew him up before deathrow was I get around,If my homies call,Keep your head up, Dear Mama, and Shed So many tears, temptations and so much pain on above the rim soundtrack and death around the corner he was on 🔥😂😂. Bruh could not lose!!! Had something for everyone. Boy that was such a fun time to grow up in. Hip-hop was a real culture then, way more authentic and creative, middle America was scared of this shit😂😂. 2pac was so fuckin different lol. Mudafucka took the game to the next level, undeniable star. What a time to be alive.

It CAN'T be like that anymore, though. A LOT of rappers are phony and create tention pretending to be Gotti. They get robbed and shot. Before, rappers stayed true and it minimized that. Now, rappers hire security or hide to avoid it. All these clowns try to be 2Pac but they ain't that. Also, with anti-social media, everyone creates phony images of living big and having wealth which makes others jealous and angry and hopeless so everyone is looking for a come up. So many nerds like drake and ross and snitch9 and shit in the game has tainted it, too.
