Yes, he said something really interesting at that point that I observed in my own golf life. In golf, you can be too flexible, and in my case, it led to a lot of lower body movement with less straight shot accuracy. I would say the flexibility add some distance, but I did not control where the ball is going. These days (much older) I intentionally focus on reduced lower body movement (less flexibility), and it leads to a shorter, but much more accurate shot. I have convinced myself you can be too flexible in the golf swing.

I thought it was a very entertaining Whoop infomercial. It was well done and enjoyed the extreme dedication required to reach pinnacle performance for golf and swimming. It shows how everything is so data driven in terms of performance. Like a Formula 1 car, athletes are using data to maximize performance. Whoop takes the guesswork out of key physiological performance metrics. It demonstrates the marriage between analytics and performance enhancement. Surprised there was not a purchase offer for Whoop at the end.

Absolutely, positively should have had a section with Phelps swimming and JT being in awe of him. Phelps's swimming is ethereal.

Swam with Michael Phelps in my teens, incredible swimmer. Have gotten into golf In my late 30’s. Big fan of JT. Great collaboration

This was truly an amazing video. I just cannot fathom the mindset and athleticism that Phelps has. Of course he has some natural advantages like wingspan, but that is nothing without his incredible work ethic. Two truly great gifts to their sports.

Just started ice baths this year, they’ve been great. Hitting balls everyday and working on physical fitness gets you sore, been feeling great and have been able to train more with hydro contrast therapy 🙏

I don’t believe the Whoop band can be accurate knowing how much time of sleep was spent in the 4 different stages of sleep, it is not recording your brainwaves or eye movement which is the most accurate way to know what stages of sleep you are in. Case in point is that Thomas is getting double amount of REM that is considered normal, so unless he has narcolepsy, the whoop needs work.

Haha yea bro, he’d easily go 10k meters per practice. Twice a day for 3 days and once the rest and that’s 100k. I swam in college and even in the sprint group we’d still crush 50k a week minimum
