platinumspp I remember when I could play the snare drum like that. I didn't attend JSU, but I enjoyed every minute of playing on the drum line in high school and college. And before I close I've got mad respect for Jackson State's drumline.

I know in the south mainly (South Texas(Houston), Louisiana, Mississippi)....that nobody will get in trouble for that....that's calling the other band out....trust me....JSU, Southern, TXSU, and high schools do it all the time

I think they sell mallets with different colors other than white. We use different color electrical tape from Home Depot and Lows, and car detailing pinstripe from O'Rileys Auto store.
