    +Gabe Newell Ricky could match him indoors when he really had to. Outdoors RC had James covered in speed. Go watch the 06' season of motocross, Carmichael spanked him and that is no insult to James.

    Nathan McDonald you are clearly blinded by your fanboyism. the 06 season stewart rode a two stroke while carmichael was on a four stroke. and no, carmichael could never match him indoors, i watched carmichael try harder than ever in his last race and still get handled.

  • @nathanmcdonald1572

    06 Stewart was on a 450 indoors and outdoors so you don't know wtf you're talking about. I just finished watching the entire 06 motocross season. And RC ran the pace of Stewart in this race and he flew to Orlando that night right after his daughter had been born. Stewart all out was faster than RC indoors but Ricky could run his pace. Go watch both motos from Washougal in 2006 and you'll know what speed Ricky really had.

  • @bloxhead100

    @bloxhead100

    8 жыл бұрын

    Nathan McDonald you're right 05 was the year james outran ricky on a two stroke, lol. nah man, james stewart is probably the only reason ricky ever got as fast as he did. james stewart basically created the fastest style of riding motocross, which ricky and every other racer were forced to copy. ricky could only match his speed on a few occasions, and that's because ricky HATED losing that much.

    Both Carmichael and Stewart had their close calls and issues, but Stewart pushed the limits a little more, and in return got hurt a lot more. Worst move he made was switching to Yamaha without racing Outdoors. That contract in my opinion did it along with the suspension which threw him into an early demise. With confidence being such a big factor in this sport, outdoor would have been easy confidence for him as no one at the time was on his level, especially with Carmichael being retired. I obviously don't know for sure, but he never looked the same after he switched from Kawasaki.
