Chad Reed has left the Chat.
9:30 “I’ll never be totally away from this great sport.” 12 years later still actively involved and glad he is.
I forgot how intense super cross used to be with these 2 guys....just amazing determination and the raw speed of Stewart was unreal.
It doesnt matter how many times I watch this race it gives me chills every time. This has to be the best race in supercross history in my eyes. I couldn't imagine the emotion of your last supercross race ever
Im not trying to take anything away from any rider to this day or the past but these 2 at their prime I serious dont think anyone is to this day as fast as they were. They pushed some limits outdoors and indoor.

@@BrandonKent136 If you believe your statement is true, who today is as fast as James Stewart? There is no one.
By far one of the greatest races in history 👍
The best night in supercross ever. Ill never forget rickys intro and goodbye to the fans. Everyone was emotional watching him go.
Here i am 12 years later... and the pace them 2 rode at the whole race is unlike anything you see in 2019. I figured it would just look average 12 years later, but nope. intensity and everything is through the roof
@JhJh-gn6dz

SpeedFirst yea SAME pace through the race. Tomac and Roczens time drops as the race goes on.
James is the fastest racer, Ricky is the second fastest but the most consistent. Two great champions
Agreed...this shit was EPIC...i will watch this race for the next 40 years

10 years later, still around to watch it? 1/4 of the time down!
We all know James' inconsistency is/was his main downfall, and you gotta admit Ricky is about the only rider to match James speed for speed. Damn these were the DAYS.

+Gabe Newell Ricky could match him indoors when he really had to. Outdoors RC had James covered in speed. Go watch the 06' season of motocross, Carmichael spanked him and that is no insult to James.

Nathan McDonald you are clearly blinded by your fanboyism. the 06 season stewart rode a two stroke while carmichael was on a four stroke. and no, carmichael could never match him indoors, i watched carmichael try harder than ever in his last race and still get handled.

06 Stewart was on a 450 indoors and outdoors so you don't know wtf you're talking about. I just finished watching the entire 06 motocross season. And RC ran the pace of Stewart in this race and he flew to Orlando that night right after his daughter had been born. Stewart all out was faster than RC indoors but Ricky could run his pace. Go watch both motos from Washougal in 2006 and you'll know what speed Ricky really had.
@bloxhead100

Nathan McDonald you're right 05 was the year james outran ricky on a two stroke, lol. nah man, james stewart is probably the only reason ricky ever got as fast as he did. james stewart basically created the fastest style of riding motocross, which ricky and every other racer were forced to copy. ricky could only match his speed on a few occasions, and that's because ricky HATED losing that much.
u know ur racin fast when u lap windham
The two faster riders of all times!!
RC and JS grew up together! And the Best of all time!....even RC said JS is the fastest rider of all time! Praise God we got to witness them ride!!!!!!!
The talent these 2 had is unbelievable. So glad their friends and often meet in the broadcast booth.
...and when rc left, he took away js's motivation with him.

@VWRabbit2008 there's only a riders that I really like nowadays.. but actually I really liked dungey too. But Dean Wilson, Ken Roczen, and a few others. Chad Reed has always been awesome, but I don't think he's racing in '19. Hopefully he does one more, I'll always be on his side. Same with Roczen but I think he's done too. I'm rooting for Wilson this year cause he's a super good dude, super fast, and got screwed with his ride and is privateering it this year

i could see RC being afraid of his legacy, Stewart was becoming more faster, probably RC couldnt hang with that speed 24/7
I thought that stare down in the air by Ricky was one of the greatest “passing of the torch” moments I’ve ever seen. Edit : @ 3:23
The two best ever!!!!
2 of the best riders of all time. They raced fast and clean
Two Florida Boy's at the top of there game. James smile said it all Good, Fun and clean racing.
I remember watching this race “at home” and seeing that stare down Ricky gave James Over the triple and how wild that was.. these were days
Coming back to watch this after Ricky talked on James podcast just hits way different. I’m glad to have grown up watching these great battles, never knew how good I had it.
Racing really isnt the same anymore.. I miss these RC/JS/Reed matches man...
that race was insane, thanks so much for all the uploads
They’re so fast and make it look so easy. It was good to view this again. Miss those guys battling ✊🏼💪🏼👏🏼👏🏼
2021 will we ever see rising like this again. I remember these days.
im miss watching these battles
One of the most underrated races of all-time.
Thanks for posting this!! I did record it and have it on DVD but I like having the ability to watch this great race on my computer anytime I want. Sadly I missed going to this race cause I was just returning from a cruise that same day. I wish RC and JS were still racing together. Those were the Best of Times!
To witness this and be alive for when that happened is so special man it almost brings a tear. This is an epic moment in the history of our sport
That was totally epic... respect for both for the amazing clean battle.
Most exciting race in our era. You will never witness two racers go head to head in a race with that much fire 🔥
3:26 I legit cried 😭
One of the best races I've ever seen
sometimes i don't notice but tears come out of my eye's when i watch this races rc for life
Is the screen just "pressed" down like it is on all old videos, or is the triples alot lower back in the days?
Great guys, great race, both are true champions ...
pause @ 3:27 best background for your pc ever!!!!
Back when it was great racing
RC the rider who won the most and superfast but you can say James is the fastest rider ever .both riders are super cool and east coast

I can honestly say I love both of these riders 100% equally. As much as I wanted Ricky to win this race, I wanted Bubba to win it. Absolute LEGENDS. Both were/are known to be good guys, nice to fans and fellow riders.
That was an awesome race...
I remember watching this race and the ones before great times
Awesome race ~!!!!!!!!!!!
Damn I can feel the adrenaline those guys were having during that race. Epic.
James Stewart mi piloto favorito del ama supercross!!! Que grande que es un manejo increíble tiene !! Pudo haber ganado mucho más pero los accidentes que tuvo y las lesiones lo alejaron mucho de las carreras...
The best race ever
Freaking awesome! Legends!!!
my all time favorite race ever!!!!!!!!!!!!
Speed was JS greatest gift and curse. He won alot because of that speed, but when he crashed that speed took its toll on his body. The injuries and getting screwed by the AMA ended JS career to soon. JS and RC are and forever will be legends
Wow.Great race.
Great race
These were the times.
indeed one of the best seasons
yo this is the cleanest race stewart has ever had no touching, nothing
Gave me cold chills watching this
James stewart class act! i wish i could ride like him and ricky c! what great riders!
James was pure speed, style and whoops but Ricky had the turns, corners and accuracy
THE GOLDEN ERA
Man… miss this!
JS RC EPIC IN THE HISTORY BOOKS FOREVER CLASSIC!!!!
What a great year. I was at the Atlanta race that year. Epic year.
amazing battle
Epic!!!
awesome!
JAMES AND RICKY ARE THE TWO BEST RIDERS OF ALL TIME AND NO ELSE NEEDS MENTIONING AND ARE EVEN FORGOTTEN ABOUT LOL BUT ITS SO TRUE!!!...WHEN YOU THINK OF THE BEST BATTLES IN RACING YOU ALWAYS THINK OF JS VS RC AND IT BRINGS A SMILE TO YOUR FACE COS WE HAVE LIVED TO WITNESS IT...
@ 3:27 very familiar. Watch 2001 Supercross Round 3 and you can see Mcgrath look over to RC
Couple of Aliens right there...just incredibly fast .
Ricky was pissed. No doubt. He hid it well but that ate him up inside. Even though he only did a half season, he was able to run up front every race he did.
Mad racing
Stewart was a true legend to the sport when he was at his peak like all sportsman, But people shouldn't forget he was up against some best there ever been in supercross shaw got a pair on him
Men, I love RC...!
That was the best season. I saw them in Atlanta.
James is Tyson, Carmichael is Ali.
The look back was cold.
Carmichael off the couch stays with Stewart like no one else can. And still passes him? Goat.
GOAT
1a and 1b goats! You choose which is which! They’re both the best to ever ride a dirtbike! Rc4 the goat of outdoors and JS7 is the goat of sx! Both pushed themselves to the max
Man those early 450s sound like tractors lol
Foi aí que a Suzuki chamou ele ? James anda demais suspenção dele na costelas é incrível, ✊ninguém pega ele .. técnico demais ✊✊✊
I think Ricky gave BuBBa that smile 😊
I miss those days
Got damm. Buckwheat was fast. Lmao BAWHAHAHA
These were the days man. Battles like this just don't happen anymore. No one wants to just let it all hang out anymore with the exception of Tomac in outdoors
@johnnyvivic8730

Racing is too mechanical nowadays. No one wants to let it all hang out anymore because it's gotten even more expensive and there's too much at stake.. which absolutely sucks. There's no passion when you're content with 2nd.
And some fools says the 450 was too big bike for Bubba to handle, they obviously didn't watched supercross back in the days.

Unbelievable
fucken epic!
You never really see main event long battles like this anymore. Usually the leader gets passed and that's it. This was 20 minutes of battle
This is like the last part of Ricky's career. It's like when Dr. J was handing the torch to MJ.
These guys hauled just as fast on "inferior" equipment as any of these guys today. RCs Suzuki barely had suspension lol
@mcbuddy413 Very much so.
Wish he would’ve finished the season out
James had so much talent, too bad he didn't pull it all together for the career. I kept rooting for him, only to see him take way too many dirt naps. Oh well.
@snowzZzZz

Both Carmichael and Stewart had their close calls and issues, but Stewart pushed the limits a little more, and in return got hurt a lot more. Worst move he made was switching to Yamaha without racing Outdoors. That contract in my opinion did it along with the suspension which threw him into an early demise. With confidence being such a big factor in this sport, outdoor would have been easy confidence for him as no one at the time was on his level, especially with Carmichael being retired. I obviously don't know for sure, but he never looked the same after he switched from Kawasaki.

Good ol days...
Hard to believe they could go so fast without scrubbing the shit off every damned jump on the track like they do now. This was from an era when it was cool enough just to win the race.
omg they were like lapping up to number six.
