Personally I think it was the old slight of hand mis direction trick for a recon mission. Drop something off behind the sun because they anticipated being watched and while eyes follow the mass of it leaving wait for the closest planet to orbit around the sun and hop on to slowly get closer to earth to determine if we would allow future communication or if we would consider them a threat before they could say what needed to be relayed.

Imagine you're on a boat, and you're blowing air out of a fan towards the back of the boat. The boat moves forward because the air pushes against it. Now, if you were standing in front of the boat, you would feel the air blowing towards you because it's moving away from the fan. Similarly, with a comet, the solar wind blows material (like dust and gas) away from the sun. The material forms the comet's tail, which always points away from the sun, just like you feeling the air blowing towards you on the boat. So, even though the comet is moving away from the sun, its tail is pointing in the opposite direction because that's where the solar wind is blowing the material.

@@funkyuns1655 No, a comet will most of the time be faster than an asteroïd because of the hydrogen being evaporated. The thing about the dust and particles is that yes they move faster than the comet and this is giving the effect we are talking about. Why you may ask? Imagine blowing a little stone surrounded with sand of the table. While the stone might move slowly the sand is already far behind it and leaves a trail. Just forget the sail part, I think this one is more easy to visualise.

But here it came back and I do not hear anyone talking about it. I mean, how would that thing come back? Umumamu was tracked to leave our solar system and never come back. But, somehow it turned itself around and came back? Comets do not behave like that. Something is not adding up.

It's not the official channel. In fact this podcast is not new. That's his studio from when he first moved to Texas. There's a lot of channels that use clips from his podcast. I like them. Joe doesn't seem to care since he doesn't get them taken down. He doesn't put the full podcasts on KZread. A comet's tail does not propel it in any way.
