    I had a mentor for the fundamentals, but I've been primarily self taught since then and a mentor would be a really really nice thing to have

    9:58 I'm a very slow learner and tend to jump around a lot. I think keeping me on track would be a HUGE commitment for a mentor to take on... Maybe when I calm down a bit I'd feel better about looking for a committed mentor, Till then, I have you and the Discord XD

    What I noticed helps a lot is a reasonable open source project to scale mentoring. It allows not only for pair programming between me and mentees, it also allows them to help each other - because everyone has some knowledge more than someone else. I believe it has been relatively successful so far, at least people grow fast, dip their toess in things outside bootcamp stuff and find things they actually enjoy programming.
