I have a cheap Dual AV XVM..BT car stereo from an Autozone store that went white. My sound still worked so I followed the steps in the video to try and fix it and IT WORKED. Unscrewed 4 little screws(2 on either side) holding LCD to the rest of the stereo. Inside the radio was a little different from the video but there was a wide ribbon cable on the right side going from the main part of the stereo to the LCD. Gently pulled ribbon cable from the non-LCD side and it came right off so it was loose already. On my stereo there is a little bar that goes across the port where the ribbon cable plugs in. I had to gently pull that up with my finger so it opens the port and you can push the end of the ribbon cable back in easily. Then once I had the ribbon cable in place I gently pushed the little bar down and it locked the ribbon cable connectors in place. Screwed the 4 little screws back in, plugged up main wire harness, turned it on and it works again. I was about 6 hours from buying a new one, THANK YOU random internet person.

Hello, great video! Do you know how do I fix a similar issue but related to a wrong firmware that I installed in a MP5 model 7018b? After update finished, display does not appears anymore. Is there a way to recovery or reinstall the original version on devices like that whitout access to the touch screen?

I have a pioneer 160BT that does this intermittently. No sound though but the screen will flash black for a second when putting into reverse before showing the white screen. I've noticed the more often it does this the more colored vertically lines that seem to appear. So it seems like the radio functions because the reverse makes it flash black but it does cut off music from Bluetooth or android auto USB.

My navigation screen went fully white. The radio works and all buttons still functions. When I touch the screen it gives me feedback and i hear the sound but the screen stays white. Any ideas?

Hello, there is a problem my radio joying, when it is warm, the display goes well, but when it is cold, transverse thin stripes are displayed on the screen and the whole image is blurred. if it is turned on longer and it heats up, the stripes disappear. help.

I have a pioneer that I pushed too hard and the screen went all white and then only half of it is white. Would this be the actual lcd? I’m going to take apart soon and check it out.
