I was expecting something more akin to the easily singable, congregational “Joyful Joyful” you might hear in church, but instead got a condensed a cappella version of Ode to Joy with the words to joyful joyful. I sometimes wondered what such a piece would sound like. Now I know. Mind. Blown.

Clapping for Christian songs is so irreverent, I must say.

Singing is praying twice! Beautiful! More difficult as it is acapella!

I am glad nobody was taking a video of my reaction. They would have seen a man alternating between open-mouthed astonishment, and tears. Wow.
