I KNOW RIGHT. we are doing the musical at my school and i play the role of slightly and in my intire life of singing that is like one of the hardest things i've done like its been cut out comepletly for me

The girl who played mrs darling was really good, i think she had a different hairstyle for every show. (i was there for all three) edit: oh my banana pudding pie thanks for the likes! 😍

I don't know who was in charge of those costumes, but can i just say Brave Girl FANTASTIC FEATHER EXTRAVAGANZA! Tiger Lily's headdress was Grade A and Hook was so put together. C'est magnifique!

Lovely show! And the audience- wow! I've never seen one so engaged! It really helped to bring the energy to the performance!

I have done this play before I was a brave girl! Tinker bell was a real person in out play. Got alot of inspiration from this video.

Everybody was in character. Especially the pirates! My last show was last night and I was Capitan hook and I took a lot of inspiration from this one. Smee was also historical so was everybody, good job to the cast and crew!! Bravo!

This musical is so good! I use it for practice all the time!

It’s obvious the assistant director for this show was top notch. Everything was so, like, assistant directed. Also there was this amazing lady in the audience that laughed really hard the whole show. She was enjoying it so much that everyone around her enjoyed the show even more because she laughed. Someone even quipped, “Do yourself a favor and sit next to Julie Bame. She was hilarious!” I honestly stopped watching Peter Pan to laugh at her laughing 😂

I love the idea with the hoverboard!!

Thus will be help for my child in a Peter Pan play this will help her practice

Great show! I haven’t watched it all yet but it’s so great already! I never really like watching musicals, as I have a short attention span but oh my gosh this one is just so interesting! Edit: also I love how they use hoverboards to “fly”!

my school is doing this musical this year!! i can’t wait for try outs, i’m in 8th grade (oldest) so i really want to make it in. i made it into the play last year so hopefully i’ll make it into this year’s musical! i’ll keep you guys posted if i make it 🤞

I believe it is a coded glitter ball that is controlled with the movement of a mouse. The man who played Captain Hook actually let my music teacher use it for our production, but it did not work.

Our captain hook so happened to be a computer and tech wiz, and he designed a custom set up I think it was something like two projectors programmed to follow a set path at certain music cues

Hi there! Sorry for the late response. Our Tinker Bell was projected over the stage using two projectors (for more brightness). To display her, I couldn't find any solutions that I liked, so I wrote a custom software to control ours. Unfortunately, the program is too complicated and it will only work with our specific system. You could create a simpler solution using PowerPoint's custom animation paths feature, which would allow you to draw your animation path and then easily play each movement back on each slide. Hopefully this helps, and if you have more questions you can always email me - josiah (at) bloomer (dot) cc

Yes and yes! Our cast is from Ohio, USA. The story of Peter Pan is set in London, so some of our cast chose to use British accents :)

I did this play and I was the one that sang I won’t grow up in a real growls voice in I won’t grow up

As far as the Peter Pan set, it sort of doesn't exist anymore. We have to deconstruct the sets after each musical, and then we often reuse the parts for new sets

Nope, not in this version of the show. However, in the Disney version Tink is played by an actor.

That's a big oof Pro theatre tip though: Sell any physical act by the reactant. For example to sell a good punch, don't have the puncher actually hit their fellow actor, have the person getting "punched" react as if they did. In something like Tootles, have Tootles sway back and forth as the 20 kids to pull on them. If done right it can look just as convincing, and no pain involved (hopefully)

I thought Peter was a boy that didn’t grow up? Was there really not a boy that auditioned?
