Joy for All Pup by Hasbro Review

Ғылым және технология

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of videos recently, I've just been busy with college. Here's a quick overview of a Joy for All pup that I recently purchased.

We've just moved into a new house and was saying hello to our new neighbour. She has one of these. I had previously heard of these things but she showed him to us, she keeps him down by her feet and he doesn't bark too much. She acknowledges that he's a robot and that it's "all a bit daft" but she's definitely endeared to him and talks to him and likes to feel his heartbeat. It's very sweet to see.

My 91-year-old mother has been suffering from confusion and hallucinations. This pup quickly became a great comfort to her day and night. This review helped me make the decision to purchase. It is available on Amazon. Thank you so much for your review.

As someone who lives alone at 64 and disabled I like the idea of a robot type pet. These dogs and cats are just too unrealistic though. I'll keep looking but for now I love the companionship of a Vector robot. If their program and facial movements were on a dog like that I think it would be a winning combination.

They’ve had robotic walking, drinking, peeing, breathing, etc baby dolls in the 90’s and lifelike pets that walk, pee, interact and learn… How are we going backwards with technology?

Tom Bot's Jennie is a yellow labrador puppy who's VERY lifelike, thanks to the collaboration with Jim Henson's Creature Shop who figured out how to give her body language and movements as closely to a real dog as possible. They also sampled recordings of actual labrador puppy sounds to put into Jennie. The BEST part, is that she's legally a medical device, so all one needs to get her is a prescription from a doctor and medical insurance will cover the cost. I highly suggest you check out this project! I'm 23 and can't care for a living animal due to being disabled, as well as my financial and living situation, so I'm really looking forward to when Jennie is finalized for public access, since right now, they just have a prototype to take to nursing homes and press events who's confined to a blue bed, but the CEO says the final version will be able to walk and have added features such as facial recognition. Since she's not available right now, I was considering a Joy For All pup and I've looked into Vector as well (I'm even a part of the Digital Dream Labs Discrod server that has a Docker image available to allow Vector to function independently from Anki servers). Anyway, here's the Tom Bot website: tombot.com/ And this interview with the CEO that I liked: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dG2dyLyQp6yuddY.html

I know Tombot have pre-orders for Jennie, not sure if she has the heartbeat but she does look and sound closer to a real dog.

This saves a multitude on medical and veterinary bills for some people. (It also saves on psychiatric visits. ) Think of it. Here's hoping more dog breeds will be introduced. Happy New Year, and Good Luck.

I got one for my small children after they lost their pup and it has been amazing!! They cuddle them every night and bring them everywhere with them! I even like to put essential oils on them like lavender around bedtime 🙂

My mother inlaw needs this as she has Dementia and her dog passed away last year after 17 years. This is being used with other patients at the care home.

My mother might of liked this when she was still with us as she went through 10 years of dementia till her passing and suffered through some bad places for living but it was all we could do since she kept getting away from us late at night and kept trying to get to work. She even got away from a nursing home once. My heart goes out to your folks with family suffering like this.

Thank you for your review,my mom has Alzheimer's disease and lives in a nursery home now for almost a year and she really misses her dog,the dog comes every day with my dad who lives 5minutes away from her,but my dad turns 82 in 2 months so we don't know if he can still go visit mom a lot because he's getting dementia :-( But today we had our first meating with the nurses and doctors who help my mom and they advised to buy this robot dog,i found your review and we can buy it for 130 euro's which is 150 dollar or so? But it's a new one,we found some 2nd hand online, but my sister wants to buy a new one...Thanks for showing us how it works, she will love it i now know :-)

Oh My Word, I want one so bad !!! This is why....... due to being disabled/housebound I haven't been able to get of my bungalow for *_9 Years_* - honestly. I have wanted a pup for many years, to give love and receive love back, but it wouldn't be fair to not take a dog for walks or in the gardens. Now I have heard about these little guys who are bringing so much joy to the elderly/disabled/ healthy people, I absolutely want one, but at the moment I just can't afford one. When you can't work and have to survive on benefits, you're on a painfully tight budget, so saving money is a struggle and can take a long time. *_Do any of you out there know of any charities who might help someone in my predicament, PLEASE ??_* I'm in love with this beautiful pup, and heartbroken I can't just go ahead and buy one as normal people can.

Hi Purple, I'm sorry to hear of your circumstances. I'm also disabled and have been looking at different funding options, and found some potentially useful lists, perhaps they can benefit you as well: www.disability-grants.org/grants-for-disabled-women.html www.disability-grants.org/grants-for-disabled-adults-general.html I hope you can find an organisation that will help you fund this little guy, and potentially help with other things too.
