This song is as good as any classic Journey song ever... And this performance is fucking EPIC. It’s easy to take Jonathan and Neal for granted because they are always seemingly amazing and without them, there is no Journey plain and simple. What was missing after Steve Perry was the VOCALS. Augeri was a nice guy but the vocals were just not there. With Arnel, the vocals are pure Journey with the passion and the power! The harmonies of Jonathan and Deen- perfection. Arnel shows pure heart and passion here, and don’t miss what he throws in at 5:30 and 7:05- pure and simple EPIC! Arnel has filled the shoes as THE VOICE of Journey and then some. THANK YOU to Arnel and to Deen for bringing the magic back. It has been an amazing ride with you and I personally wish for just one more album before Journey rides off into the sunset?!!!

That's the thing. Pineda's voice is perfect harmony with the instruments and his voice is not drowned down.

Look at Deen rockin' it even in a ballad. He just can't be mellow. I just wish Arnel would stand upright by a mic stand and be very still for this song. Just let the awesomeness float without distractions. He can incite wildness for sure, but to do the opposite would be marvelous,too.

Amazing Arnel

Finally, his actions blends well with the song...thus, giving his performance more impact to the audience watching while listening. AP's voice quality is far better than that of SP's but SP has the ability to manipulate it to the fullest despite slightly lacking in power knowing how to sound better on each line of the song with his heart and soul. AP will need to use a little IMAGINATION on how to exploit his gift. By the way, this is one of the best performances of journey that I've seen!!

Why

Sustaining a note for a longer period of time depends 90% on lung-capacity, 10% vocal technique, both of which are fairly easy to train. And even if he cant do it, its easy to fix in studio, so it wouldn't be on the record. I wont debate anything over weather he is better or worse, thats not what i amp debating. I am mere debating the fact that you are a musician with an excellent ear(Because then its not likely that you would think that, since good musicians only notice their own flaws.).

In studio its _VERY_ likely that they would use autotuner if he "had to cut notes", so im calling bullshit on you.
