He did great as king Herod! In the theatre it was kind of funny because when I closed my eyes all I could hear was Puss in Boots 😂😂

I've seen it twice. I hope to keep going back. So entertaining. Nowadays musicals don't always have people who can sing. They're all great singers. I can't recommend it highly enough! 🤗🙏🏼

I don't really like the way that y'all put this thing together it's not a Hollywood it's not a Hollywood thing for people to laugh at we're talking about a a holy child who was born it not a cat it real human the the music sounds does not go with the moive change the movie and do it better

I was blown away by his performance.

Saw this on Thanksgiving WOW! Antoine Banderas was phenomenal. The whole show was real good, but Antonio stole every scene he was in. I really hope the folks who made the show does the Easter story using Antonio Banderas as King Harrod in that.

This version of King Herod is truly "artsy and modern"... 😅😂🤣 Antonio Banderas is really into the role... completely different from "the mask of Zorro" ☺☺😁😁

As Pastor of a Church I was offered a sneak preview of Journey to Bethlehem - along with my wife and kids. This movie is simply outstanding! This is simply a beautiful retelling of the events leading up to the birth of Jesus. The costumes are good, the scenery and camera work create a worthy visual experience. The actors are well chosen and extremely likeable. This movie has managed to stay Biblically accurate and yet allow the characters to be human - like we are. There are real emotions and humor displayed, which allow us to connect more deeply with the reality and depth of this story. I am trained in classical music and Theology and can say that I was pleased in many ways with this musical movie. The Jewish elements of arranged weddings, customs, agriculture and travel were all well depicted. I had wondered how they would handle the place of birth and was impressed that even in this detail this movie chose the correct locale. Few are aware of just how dangerous and deranged King Herod was, and this movie along with a very credible performance by Antonio Banderas give Herod all that delusional jealousy and megalomania. History has shown that Herod had his wife, her mother, her brother and 3 of his sons murdered. Banderas shows off his vocal abilities and truly brings his character Herod to center stage with a full range of emotions. His song was a high point musically and dramatically. The musical aspects far exceeded my expectations! Several of the songs will no doubt become top hits and I have no doubt this will become a staple for High School and College musicals. There is true musical talent in this music and even the coldest hearts will melt and shed tears. This movie is fun, touching and offers a human connection to the Bible’s greatest event. Suitable for all audiences!

You are not a pastor in a church. The life of St. Mary and St. Joesph is clear in the gospels. Check the gospels if you have ever read them. If you enjoyed the movie, that is your choice but you can't connect this movie to the Bible. The story in this movie is a lie. Someone made it up from his imagination to damage the Christianity faith and for his business to generate money from viewers especially from the non-Christians viewers who did not read the gospels.

I'm sorry to disappoint you but I am indeed a Pastor in a Christian Church. I suspect you have a Catholic background which is causing you some confusion: neither Joseph nor Mary are called Holy in the Bible - but certain denominations have deified them inappropriately. Joseph, Mary, King David, Abraham or Elijah were all sinners - all failed in different ways and all needed the salvation of Jesus Christ. Mary was not sinless and no more a saint than every other Christian (see Romans 1:6-7) Those who read the Bible (without false Apocrypha and Pseudopigrapha) can see how well this movie aligns with Scripture. Do not let human traditions keep you captive to human religion. Trust the Bible and the Holy Spirit.@@karimfares2078

I must say, after listening to this track thousand times without the pictures, I imagined the actual Scenes performed way more dramatic. But you can clearly see how they just run around and move the lips instead of real singing. It kinda ruins the moment and you stop buying that they actually are the characters.

mm fair, I think in a lot of cases animation can help elevate the visualization of these songs than what live action can do, tho I still enjoy the musical very much! Ngl I would love to see someone making an animation/animatic of In My Blood
