When l play this game it makes me cry little bit

This game changed my life. It's thanks to Journey that I'm finally ending my studies on the Game Development career

I bought this game when it came out and I will happily buy it again on any platform they decide to port it to. Journey is so much more than just a game to me. Playing it inspired deeper emotions than I ever imagined I would feel, let alone from a video game.

Epic are assholes. We all agree on that. But until they showed up, games like this and quantum dream games like heavy rain and detroit were never games that I tought i'd play on pc. So I think these ps games are the only ones they deserve to keep as exclusives.

Highly probable, most of the other Annapurna-Epic exclusive deals are only for timed exclusivity and I doubt this will be different.

This is THE game for me. There's so many ppl out their who thinks games are all the same, it's just mindless shooting. I always recommend this game for those to try. This game is everything that a video game can achieve. I played Journey about a year ago for the first time and I couldn't put it down since. That day for the the first time in my life I played this four times in a row and every time I played it since it's a new adventure every time. When I'm free I'd just switch it on sit down at the first level in the game and wait for someone to appear and join me. And I would show them all the secrets! I love how this game has achieved what it means to care for another. Just yesterday I played with someone and that player took a misstep and lost a part of it's scarf and I was devastated, I choked up. It's something you can only experience through this game. I find it unbelievable how this game can make you feel you lived a lifetime with its ups and downs in just 2 hours. Absolutely amazing 10/10

Playing through repeatedly and showing secrets to others is the way the game was meant to be played! The game represents the archetypal Hero's Journey, and the last step of that is the hero's return, after gaining knowledge and experience, so that he can share that knowledge with others. When you're showing another player where to find a secret, you're not just helping out a stranger. You're fulfilling the legacy of the journey itself, continuing the cycle. Next time that person plays, maybe they'll show that secret to someone else. In a way, you live on through the knowledge you pass to others. Just like how your first playthrough helped you gain knowledge for your second, third, and fourth playthroughs, so too can your wisdom continue to enrich others. Journey isn't just a game. It's an experience. And it mirrors life in such a beautiful way. This game fundamentally changed my worldview, and it's helped me become a better person. Just like you passed on the knowledge of secrets in the game, I hope to pass on the wisdom of its message.

Guys if you have any sound problems just remove any sound modifier. I was using my Astro A10 with Razer Synapse and the audio was distorted. Only after switching to 2 channels instead of Virtual 5.1 the audio was fixed. No slowdowns for me on Ryzen 5 1600 and GTX 1050Ti

nice you just financially supported a horrible platform. I won't buy any games on Epic store Idgaf what title it is. If steam becomes obselete than all the support and updates will be gone and every library will dissapear. You may think it sounds abusrd but I used buy my games on a service called OnLive and they were purchased and bailed on customers. I can't access my purchases on it.

@@theabyssmaleye Because EGS is known to have straight up spyware in it, along with the fact the only way they're able to maintain a foothold in this industry is by using a petty method of bribing developers to release games exclusively for a year on their platform. A good platform would attract users with good features, EGS currently offers nothing that users don't already have on their current platform of choice. These exclusivity deals remove consumer choice and force them to either give in and use a bad platform, or be punished with a 1 year wait. I'm on the latter side because I outright refuse to support Epic's practices, it's a scummy move. Journey released on Steam a week ago and I've been happily playing it there, on my chosen platform.

I hate Epic with a burning passion, and it pained me to give them any money whatsoever when I bought this on PC. But trust me, Journey is an experience worth having. Even if you never give Epic another cent after this game, you deserve to enjoy the life changing moments in this game. Everyone does. (Which just makes it that much worse that Epic is making it exclusive.) Journey actually changed my life. Playing through it again on PC was worth throwing a couple cents at the jerks at Epic. I'll never buy another game on their terrible, broken digital storefront, but I absolutely don't regret buying Journey. I've had relationships that have given me less emotions than this game. I've never recommended a game as adamantly as I do this one.

Because the game's 8+ years old at this point and it probably makes more sense to open up to a wider consumer base to make more profits off selling copies of the game. Happens a lot with 'console exclusives'.

@Máté Ruzsity i just bought it and i have the same problem as you, it's fucking broken! performance slowdowns occur whenever the game searches for other players online, creating long single-digit frame rates and frequent stutters up to 40 seconds during gameplay. i just submitted a refund for this game

For me it works flawlessly now, even coop. They fixed the lag and sound problem with version 1.38. Update your game, and try it again. :)

AVX is a piece of shit CPU extension only available on processors released after 2011. So even if you have a decent 3.4 GHz quadcore from 2009 that still kicks ass for basically everything, this pile of shitty code developed by retards won't even run on it.

Besides, if you still have a CPU from 2009, dont you think its time for an upgrade? Newer gen CPUs are so efficient and powerful for the price nowadays.

You have to complete at least one solo play through of the game, and then after that it's random whether or not you'll encounter other players. I feel like that makes it a more organic and intimate experience, personally. When I played earlier, my heart leapt when I met my companion, and it sank when they disconnected. You won't get an emotional response like that from a matchmaking lobby!

@@geoffreyprecht2410 You can encounter other players on your very first run. However a first-run player will NEVER see a white cloak player. If you're experienced and want the opportunity to shepherd first-timers, make sure you're wearing the red cloak.

How the fuck did I never hear about this!? I loved this game and I never got to play it, because it never came out on PC. It's been out for over a year! I can't imagine that there are still fellow travelers playing now, so it might be a lonely place.

Started playing as soon it came out, after I enter the second zone the game stutters and crashes 100% without flaw, even if I start anew. Shame, because as far as I see it it's awesome.

I played Journey on PS3 and PS4 both platforms, and now I'd like to buy Journey once more on Steam, not Epic \Store. Would you consider release Journey on Steam? I will not buy Journey on Epic Store. There are lots of people who are waiting for.

For anyone complaining about sound issues/AVX, its a hardware thing, its not AVX's fault. AVX is meant for CPUs made roughly after 2011, so if you have a PC that hasnt had a CPU upgrade in over 10 years thats on you. Not really trying to be an ass here, but thats just how it is. Companies are gonna use newer hardware for games and move away from older hardware. If you fall behind, you run into problems. The recommended CPU spec for the game is literally a 2011 CPU as well, so it should be expected that anything older will get sound issues.

So i guess this still doesn't have couch co-op, right? Wanted to play with my gf

@@ahmedfawaz7214 that light isn't really important. It's all about the experiences you make on the journey there - the ups and downs, people you meet along the way,... I've played it 3 times already and every time was different. In the second playthrough I've met someone else who stuck with me until the end, who despite the limited communication options understood me and helped me find the last powerup I had missed, while we helped each other through the game. I felt like I had gained a new friend whom I could trust and who I missed after finishing the game, although I'd never talked to them. That's (in my opinion) the most amazing aspect of this game.

Such a poetic game, and you gave into the money.

I wish I didn't already watch playthroughs of the game so many times. As much as I LOVE the game, and am IN LOOOOOVE with it's music, I feel like the experience is ruined now that I know the whole story, in terms of first impressions.

I dont get it. Why are people hating on Epic and saying their gonna wait until it releases on PC. Its on PC already.....

There must be a reason why. Maybe they got paid a lot for it and the game devs wanted to launch it exclusively on Epic. It's their damn product. Devs are real people and maybe they needed the income. Epic takes 12% of game revenue instead of Steam's 30%. For 18% more money on every sale, I would put it on Epic if I had a game. What an unbelievably stuck up bunch of people gamers are in general. Why don't you put years of hard work and sweat into a game and then voluntarily chose to lose 18% of profit before opening your jaw?

This is a game I've been obsessed with trying to play since I saw it years ago...I've been planning to buy a PS3 and a copy just to experience it myself, but I don't know why people are complaining...screw the launcher, it's more convenient than having to buy a playstation for crying out loud.
