The price of vande bharat in this route is higher than other trains. So people going to goa from Mangalore choose other trains with a lower price. That is the reason the train is almost empty. So the government is planning to extend it to mumbai. Instead of Goa if it will go to Bangalore it will definitely have a huge demand. Because there are very few trains in this route but there's a huge demand for this. However electrification is not done in this route from subramanyaroad station to sakleshpur. And it is ghat section as well.

The rajdhani Express halted at Udupi is Tvc rajdhani express

Vande Bharat doesn't fit in Konkan Railways bcoz Konkan Railway is meant to be enjoyed to the full when u travel in Non AC Normal Trains. Vande Bharat only fits in routes like Bangalore-Chennai, H Nizamuddin-Rani Kamlapati etc.

Either change the route to Mangalore-Mumbai Or Madgoan-Coimbatore

Railway should think on this. Simple reason why VB/ Tejas higher class are empty is sheer cost....out of reach of common ppl. VB is reason of detoriating condition of IR where AC is becoming general coach slowly

No. That is not affordability. It is too much priced for CC executive coslier than Air ticket for just day travel. If same CC is run for 24 hours duration between chennai and Mumbai or Mumbai and Kolkatta, occupancy will be 200%. Here implementation of Railways and govt and not the wishes of majority of passengers is happening in VB intro. thanks

You cannot increase the speed with sleeper coaches as the open doors and windows cause a drag which places strain on the locomotive. That is why Railways is replacing sleeper coaches with 3ac which are midway between sleeper and AC coaches. There is a compromise between comfort and affordability.
