This is really helpful! Honestly, I've been told many times to journal to process my emotions but could not, for the life of me, get into it until I watched one of your older videos where you shared your morning journal prompts. This is way more in-depth but not overwhelming to me as you provide such practical advice that can be implemented easily. Also, really happy to see how much journaling has benefitted you over the years. Loving your recent self-care routines videos! They've been inspiring to watch.

I've only recent gotten back into journalling, and you posted this at the most perfect timing. This is SO insightful and encouraging! I definitely used to do the typical "dear diary... today this and this and this happened" approach which never really felt practical or much fun to write. Most of the times, I can't even recall what happened and it all becomes almost a chore to try and remember the day, just to be able to record it down! I love the 'spotlight entries' idea. I love all your ideas! Thank you so much, Jenn!🖤

i’ve been journalling for about a year now. i go thru phases of being super consistent and periods where i don’t journal at all. it’s such a treat reading back my old entries because i have a tendency to suppress negative thoughts. it’s also helped me rely less on others because once i’ve vented it somewhere, i don’t feel the need to repeat it. thank you for all the tips jenn! i still get intimidated by writing paragraphs so i will definitely be incorporating lists to capture all of the micro memories/thoughts 🫶🏼

After viewing your videos, I've started writing daily morning affirmations, and I find myself in complete agreement with every word in this video! Articulating and noting down my thoughts, anxieties, and aspirations has helped me in facilitating a deeper self-understanding and clarity about the path I should be pursuing. This habit also serves as a valuable personal log full of insightful data, which allows me to reflect on my personal evolution. I'm grateful for your endeavor to spread these helpful personal development strategies! Love from South Korea 😘

Journaling is indeed so powerful. I have been journaling since my early 20’s. I am in my late 30’s now and it still has helped me in different and very difficult points in my life when I suffered through anxiety, depression, and recently postpartum depression. I feel confident to say that I may be closer to the other side of my mental health battle and it’s cause of journaling, affirmations, meditation, podcast and counseling.

I've always had a passion for journaling to help process difficult situations and emotions. I also really needed to hear the scientific reason why it is hard to break old habits and how journaling helps us override these automated neural pathways we've created. Thank you, Jenn, for helping to heal us and for being an advocate for self-love & care

Jenn! It’s affirming to hear someone talk about how truly difficult it is to change life long habits or behaviors- things really do become so engrained over time. I love the nine specific prompts about implementing a habit/behavior change. It makes it feel easier to actually answer and try to do. I’m going to incorporate this into my self care routines for the next few weeks and see how it helps with something I’ve been struggling with for a long time. 🤞🏽 Thanks for the unique and thoughtful content.

I’m so happy to learn new tips and methods from your videos! 🤩 I’ve written journal entries consistently for over 3 years now, and I wholeheartedly agree when you say it’s the BEST form of self-care. Since I value deep, genuine connection in all relationships (romantic, platonic, family, and self) I find that this is the best way to connect with who I was, who I am, and who I want to be ❤ thanks for highlighting the importance of journaling to a wide audience Jenn 🥰 I appreciate the words you have to say! + I think writing journal entries makes a person more appreciative of words of affirmation, which is so important in a relationship with others and yourself! 🫶

Whilst growing up my mum encouraged me to write a journal (way before it became 'trendy') and it has always helped me to clear my head at the end of a day. I will admit i have fallen short and have been not daily as I have been, which frustrates me as i know and have had so many witnesses of the benefits of writing a journal. Everytime read back my old writings, it brings back lot of memories and reminds me the person who I am now. Alsoo, this Asus Zenbook is hella amazing! Writing is a great and productive way for people to make sense of their thoughts. Some of my more performing arts writer friends prefer to orally record their thoughts and leave an app to transcribe (I don't say my thoughts aloud much so I dont know as much about this method, but it seems useful). I love the idea of a self-awareness tracker - genuinely such a smart idea. I used to do something similar in relation to toxic eating habits I had that helped me track progress and eventually limit those episodes! so extending that to how we interpersonal carry ourselves makes so much sense. thanks jenn

Not me thinking her video editor added perfect paper lines in the background behind Jenn to maintain the theme, but her wall is actually just horizontal slats 🤣 Love this video Jenn!!

Ironically, I’ve been searching for a typewriter. Remember how record players and LPs resurfaced five/six years ago? I’m expecting the same thing for typewriters 💭. There’s just something about them. Wish you had credited the make and model used in your intro- it’s perfect. Great video 💙.
