What program do you use for lightning programing
More gig logs would be awesome, with show pre-vis and prep work as well. You've pretty much nailed gig logs though
So awesome to see all the work that goes into an event like that. I especially liked the POV of setting up fixtures and running cables to them. Nice PA btw L' Acoustics FTW
Anyone else watching because everything has been canceled because of Corona?

corona ruined everything. all events excluding virtual events were cancelled.
Always excited to see a new vid coming up from you! Thanks Chris

More of these types of videos please I really enjoy watching the process start to finish!
I could watch this stuff all day long..unedited. Load ins are so much fun...when it goes to plan. It's one of my fave parts...the anticipation of the event. Anyway...that main room looked sweet.
Pleaaase more gig logs and setups, this is awesome!!
Really enjoyed seeing the setup and behind the scenes!
You are the don! I've just set up my own audio company, these videos are very inspiring
Thank you for all these super interesting and helpfull videos 🤗🙏
You totally need to make more gig log`s they awesome
dude, love this. I look at this and just want to be doing it!!
Extremely amazing
these gig logs are way better than some dj setting up a wedding gig and just speed talking through their setup that they show in every video. it's cool to see how you set up these events and what goes into it
Awesome work!
hopefully getting some big bucks for an event this size with this much gear! got to have at least a small crew to help with setup/tear down and to pervent theft of gear during transport between venue and truck. Thank you for sharing thus giglog
Holy cow! Even the house PA is great! The house uses Fulcrum Acoustics and you use L-Acoustics. This is one of the more high-end gig logs I've seen. Great job guys!
man I have no words! u had constructed the whole set up in your mind first and then u've just put that in practice for the clubbers and 4us! thank u very much for sharing this video! I'd like u to c how would u set up your gig in a beach bar (if u had schendule any soon) thanx again man!

brings me back to my old days of djing and gigs and packing up at 3am then attending school right after no sleep
Awesome vid, and gorgeous light design. Frankly I'd love to see a video on how your process for designing a light show for this kind of gig. Just getting into it and would love to see how a professional approaches an event like this.

neat job, nice venue. enjoyed watching it
Nice setup! the feel of the main room was nice, concrete walls.. feels very berghain lol.. love watching your vlogs! Be great if you could do some bits on busking, I use chamsys but I guess workflow is similar!
Dope setup, very dope
That look like a lot of work man, nice video.
Awesome!
absolutely loving your giglogs! maybe you could do a warehouse tour?
Hey Christian i just found this video out of the thousands i could find but are just not interesting ! seriously thanks man lol ! i would for you to make more vlogs like this ! nice footage ! keep it up !

This is the type of thing i love to see and do I just took over in a community theater the head of tech Last guy nevre spent his budget so im looking for big upgrades its been need for 10 years
Any possibility of getting a video showing how much equipment you have... awesome video BTW!
wel that's a nice venue!
more vidéos like please !!! seriously is realy interresting ;)
Yo keep it up love your gig logs Wish u did some updated lighting tutorials tho
I want to see how you set up at the gigs and how the lights correspond to what buttons you press and how it looks on screen and on stage at the same time (2 cams)
Can you do a video on connecting lights to MA?? Can you also do a video explaining DMX and stuff like that… plus cloning etc
Would love a video for how you setup and busk your MA onPC.
Great job you should do a house tour
love the video! the amount of gear you have is amazing, im just hoping to save enough to get a budget cdj 100 mk2 setup (no idea what mixer I would get with them tho). anyways, what is the box you take ouf of the case at 7:03? you connect ethernet to it and the cdjs, just curious what thats for. keep up the good work!
damn Christian.. thats a shit load of dmx wires.. but great video.. always enjoy watching your video log.. always learning something new.. thanks
More programming videos would be awesome. Also do you do any work out in Vegas?
I didn't expect that much thump out of 4 QSC subs!
i really want to do this kinda Stuff! Love watching your Videos and trying to learn all i can. Im hoping to go to Stage Craft In Vagas one day If i can find the money. Thanks for making all these cool vids keep up the good work.
As a light engineer myself , I really like your design, but personally I prefer martin m1 lighting desk and all of the m series,I find it easier to patch and programme fixtures.
very cool
That's my dream job! I currently do lighting and sound for smaller private events and weddings. What are some tips you might give someone who wants to get into this industry?
I miss this type of party where I used to worked....
also one more question: i noticed that for both rigs, you setup the pa with the subs stacked on either side of the stage and tops on top of them. is that more effective positioning than having tops on either side, and having all the subs in a center cluster in front of the stage? thanks
@derdavidspielt
7 жыл бұрын
Is more comfortable to put the line array speakers ontop the subs, otherwise you nearly alwasy have to hang them from the ceiling... also ist a more stable version compared to a normal speaker stand.. so if the crowd touches the speakers they wont fall as easy...
Grumble.... line arrays right beside a wall..... although its already a concrete box so it probably sounded messed regardless
I've watched this video almost 5 times now...

Hey! I was wondering if you were to have any advice on how to get into this line of work. I am currently trying to decide what to study and what you do is a mash of two things I like the most, EDM and the technical side of audio and visual and thus would love to work in that field, cheers!
What line arrays were those in the Main Room. I love the KW rig for the second stage, but I couldn't make out the line array brand/model.

+Christian Jackson How you power all of your equipment ? did you use a sort of Power Distro unit or connect groups of equipment in different electrical circuits ? and my last question, you are using your Atomics in High Power or Low Power ?
@christianjackson
8 жыл бұрын
This venue is great because there are many circuits around the perimeter. I was able to use the house's 200A panel to power everything. High power mode each with their own circuit on 120.
how that table with the console stay in place without any screw or lace ????
How would you suggest getting into lighting bands around my town?
The old par can a! Was looking a bit sad in the back of the truck.
Do you like djing or lighting more?
Just wondering. Those totems with the 5Rs. Did you sandbag them for stability? And how did it go with the gobo projectors? Clean setup though.

Yes he did, around the 8:53 mark you'll see the sandbags.
Dude what do recommend light setup for church?
Hey! I really like youre videos especially gig logs! My Question to your setup: Are you not afraid of your laptop crashing or shutting down or anything like this? Always considered using laptops as lighting console as very risky? Best regards!
@joshcurnes5006

I'm a lighting programmer too and I use a GrandMA2 onpc, I use a laptop just for lights, nothing else and I always bring two laptops to a gig. Sometimes using a laptop is risky but hey, they have a built in UPS!
How do u sync ur light show to dj? do they send u what they're playing before or do u take timecode or something like that? Ich found nothin in the internet :D
What is the SL box that you said you packed and brought?
would you be willing to share one of your show files, so i can dissect it and figure out how you have everything laid out?
Hey would u have models of moving heads u used as there awesome
Show More Programing🙏
Legal, aqui no Brasil trabalho como DJ e Operador de equipamentos de áudio, iluminacao e video wall, nossas montagens são um pouco diferente mas o resultado final é parecido. Parabéns pelo vlog! Abs Dj Marcelo Augusto
