Excellent early-career performance at age 17. As introduced by Betty Wright, "Stone Soul Sista" Joss laid down unfettered, adolescent-pure soul/R&B in the mold of Janis and Teena Marie. Under EMI contract(2003-2010), her initial lead guitar A.J.Nilo (2003-4; 2010-2014) on 6 yr. "sabbatical", here replaced by David Gilmore(2004-05-06). Joss' initial primo drummer/musical director/current step-father Johnathan Joseph has here handed the sticks to Joss' 2nd (of 5, and most "physical") drummer(2004-2007) Caesar Griffin, affectionately referenced in blogs as "Animal" on drums, currently backing Taylor Dayne(2015). Loyal, steadfast Pete Ianacone on bass, Abel Pabon & Raymond Angry(?) on keyboards. Artia Lockett and Antonia Jennae were joined by Ellison Kendrick prior to this concert to form the "Fab 3" background vocalists, staying with Joss through 2014. This would comprise the concert/tour band until early 2007 when (after JB's untimely passing 12/25/06) Hollie Farris (lead trumpet) & Jeff Watkins (lead sax) incorporated BRASS into Joss' band, and Raphael Saadiq oversaw changes in lead guitar and drums during the production of "INTRODUCING JOSS STONE"(2007)

I love this video. Joss Stone is awesome. The drummer is great. Backup singers cool. I wish the video editor gave us more than one second between cuts. Sheesh, I practically get dizzy jumping from one camera shot to another

Drummer "Big Man" Caesar Griffin played with Joss from mid-late 2004 until mid-2007. He backed Taylor Dayne in 2015. Check out Caesar Griffin, Orlando on KZread. Powerful drummer! Reportedly once destroyed his bass pedal by sheer strength of foot flexion!

Willie "Little Beaver" Hale was former Betty Wright guitarist who performed on Joss's SS1 & M,B,&S albums. David Gilmore, shown here, was Joss's lead concert guitarist from 2004-2007.

Lyrics & rhythm at this 4:02 break similar to those in "Rapper's Delight", Sugarhill Gang, 1979. Check it out! Time-frame consistent with Joss's "covers" in SS1 and M,B,& S albums. She only included these particular "break" lyrics in a few of the early appearances. Not in her original "single" of "Super Duper Love". Must have been suggested by one of her mentors to "spice-up" her concert versions of the song. Do miss hearing it in her post-2005 performances.

Don't think Joss got the songs after this. Shame, 'cos she was classic Blue-Eyed Soul at this point. Where did it all go? "Pillow Talk" cover was a fine single too, otherwise very poor.
