Today's guest is no stranger to the podcast. 4 years ago Joshua Leonard ( who is a character designer) came on the podcast and spoke about his journey. Joshua has worked with/for many studios, Netflix, Disney, Illumination Entertainment, etc. Since our last talk, Joshua now works full time for Lion Forge Animation and just a few hours a week at Home Depot. He is still pitching his Team Supreme Brand ( animated characters who disabilities are super powers) In this interview we also cover new artwork, new projects, A.I., and much more!

Josh has a great heart! Im just tryna figure out, is he eluding to the fact that black folk are similar to a disability? Should we see disability folk as something other than “normal” folk? I dont get the sense he has talked to families who struggle everyday taking care of children with disabilities. Its a daunting task and should not be taken lightly and portrayed as a caricature for your self gain! You said that these places pay you handsomely! Are you giving back to the community of disability folks? Or are you just exploiting them cuz you think their inabilities are FIRE!!!? Just asking!!

@antonisreal Good morning, thank you for your comment! I’ll try to address all 3 comments here, The comment “FIRE” from Josh was simply meant to be taken as a good idea not an exploitation attempt. He has spoke/worked with families over the years whose loved ones had disabilities. He’s heard the stories, seen the progress etc. (he mentioned that in our first interview 4 years ago.) There is a kid who liked one of his characters so much, (he’s autistic) that he’s dressed up ( cosplay) like the character, the last 5 years. I don’t believe in anyway Josh is trying to exploit, he’s simply trying to shed light in a different way. Hence why he said he’d love to see theme parks offer more accessibility / tailor made theme parks. Yes he is paid nicely, but that is due to his other characters that have nothing to do with Team Supreme. Team Supreme hasn’t made it to a network yet. And yes,Josh has a team behind him working on different pitches (in regards to Team Supreme) Actor Jason Weaver, Actress/Producer Lena Waithe. Josh has worked with over 14 different companies not related to Team Supreme, (other artwork)so that would explain how he ended up at Disney. No network has picked it up and that’s to be TBD. I hope this answered your questions/concerns.
