I am a child of the 60s and early 70s when soul singers reigned supreme. Joshua could hold his own with any of them from the time. I am not sure the greater audience is there for him in this time and age.

He didn’t win because his voice is sometimes just too much. Sometimes you just need to just sing the song, be true to the song and keep it simple. He sometimes got too caught up in the vocal gymnastics. It sometimes gets old when you’re at a 10 all the time. This is a perfect example of why we really haven’t heard much from him since the show.

This man is such an extraordinary singer, I just can't believe he isn't the biggest star yet.He puts most male singers in todays top stops to shame.

His dad is a preacher. It's obvious that he's gay and that when he was questioned about his reaction to Without You he was talking about some guy in his life and couldn't admit it. He's been in love but he can't talk about it. That's EASILY the best version of Without You out there. His version is better than Mariah Carey's and that's a big deal. I'd say his version of this is second only to Harold Melvin's. Best singer on Idol by far. I have no idea how he didn't win. My woman agrees that his soulful shit is amazing. Lead of fucking AEROSMITH is blown away too!

I saw him in the Idol tour when it came to Detroit. He was the show most of the night. You are just pulled in to him for the whole performance. The audience loved him.
