Joshua put zhang on his ass in the amateurs. That was a younger fresher zhang. Joshua fought usyk 24 rounds, whooped wallin and as soon as ngannou eent soutpaw the fight was over. Zhang has bothing for aj but power. His feet are too slow, very hittable and get tired very quickly. Calling aj a glass chin shows how clueless this dude is. Chin this chin that. These are super heavyweights. Ngannou had a granite chin, so did joyce. Now look at them.

A lot of American boxing fans underestimated AJ because of the Wilder rivalry. Imagine hating on dude being a class act in victory? AJ handled himself with class and was gracious in victory. Even encouraged Ngannou to stay in the sport. He never trash talked Ngannou leading up to the fight. Even after Wilder got beat up by Parker, AJ did not kick Wilder while he was down. He said he is happy to fight Wilder still. Bar the Usyk meltodwn in Saudi, AJ has been class.

I agree with you on Zhang Shawn. Age really starts to show in him. It's the only thing that can explain how Zhang had Parker's timing and movement to a tee (hence the knockdowns) and then suddenly stops throwing. I see it more of a fight Zhang lost then one that Parker won. He's really the opposite of Shawn in the way he loses his fights. Seemed like Shawn always managed to bring out the best in himself which led to great fights and close losses against Kell, Keith and Spence which really could have gone either way. Zhang has managed to not get the best out of him at all when he loses, which is sad to see since hes the second most technical HW boxer in the world IMO. If he'd been 5-87 years younger with quicker feet, he'd be unstoppable.

@@cyfar2768 I’m going to teach you some boxing rn, free of charge! Zhang is technically (!) levels above Parker and it showed in the fight. He had Parker’s timing to a tee (hence the knockdowns) before he stopped throwing (which is either because of bad conditioning or a loss of the fighting spirit, which usually comes from age). Joyce and Parker are too different fighters: Parker has a higher output, better head movement, moves better in and out and he throws faints. It takes more out of you than against a Joyce-kind of fighter. Kind of outed yourself by that comparison lol. However I didn’t think I had to say this but you seem like you need to hear it to understand: Boxing is way more than just a technical battle. It is also a fight, and Parker won the match with experience and a better fighting spirit. The winner isn’t necessarily the more technical fighter. There are 100’s of examples of that: Loma-Salido, Valenzuela-Colbert 2, Manny-Horn to name a few. But Zhang had everything in his hands and then dropped the ball, more than Parker fought the perfect fight, because he really didn’t!

I see what you’re saying about Zhang technically and I agree with you to a large extent although with a bit of reservation. Zhang is definitely a better structured technician than Parker but Parker is faster with his hands and has much faster feet than Zhang so he could easily outbox Zhang as Zhang would have to chase him around the ring. It gets worse when you then factor in Zhang’s poor stamina. My point about Joyce is that I was always against the notion that just because Zhang beat Joyce he beats everyone which was the bandwagon most of these experts and he heir sheep jumped on while completely neglecting Zhang’s flaws when it comes to stamina and being fleet-footed. Joyce was totally right for Zhang who had better IQ and technical skills and also crucially faster hands and ofcourse much better speed of thought. I always knew Joyce’s shortcomings but yet lost also jumped on his bandwagon claiming he beats everybody because of a granite chin. Now they’re saying Zhang has a granite chin. He’s lucky he has not faced a big enough puncher because AJ dropped him in the amateurs and would knock him spark out if they faced each other. He takes way too many punches during rounds of inactivity.

Whereas against Joyce Parker again was outboxing Joyce with the faster hands and foot speed but unfortunately for him Joyce’s stamina doesn’t go down like Zhang’s and so when Parker could not hurt Joyce enough he was eventually walked down and stopped. Parker is fast but AJ can just about match his speed and completely eclipses him from a power standpoint and Parker knows just as much(it’s why the first fight went the way it did). This current AJ is even more calculated and wastes very little so in my opinion AJ stops Parker within 5 to 8 rounds. In summary his is a very poor take and I’m starting to really see that these so called experts don’t really know as much as I thought they did 🤦🏽‍♂️. I’d love to be invited onto your podcast to go at the man who made that initial statement. Let’s see how that argument unfolds and let the lessons be learnt along the way.
