Psshhtt. Go to The Gear Page. Plenty of nagativity there and other f-rums and groups, too. They're usually stuck on his politics/support of certain groups and people, something he did a few years ago, or that he's just copying other people's stuff, tweaking a few component values, and renaming it. Threads will go hundreds of pages. Smdh. It's usually all pretty ridiculous.

I love all the white space on the series 3 pedals and that you can draw on them with markers. I think you should do an episode where you have elementary school kids come in and draw on each of the pedals, giving them keywords like Fuzz, crunch, waves, chorus, etc. Then, you can auction off the pedals and give the profits to a non-profit for music education.

@@MannysWorldd I also learned a lot from JHS about pedals, tones, a bunch of other companies, which lead me into other channels, where I learned even more. I used to use my Line 6 POD HD Pro, but I spent more time tweaking than playing. It's been difficult creating great tones on it, because I didn't really have a reference tone. But when I built my first pedalboard ever at the start of 2020 (it has grown since then), I have been able to find my base tone, embellish it a bit, but also go crazy with a bunch of effects. It's a much simpler setup than a digital modeller gives, there's no option paralysis, but I've still got a lot of versatility.

I totally agree. There is a bazilion of other channels, who just play the generic Blues/Rock-Riffs and I can't bear them. Josh, I love your channel! I find it very refreshing that a company owner would talk about and even sometimes recommend other companies pedals. The very first video I saw of yours was the one on JOYO pedals and how theyre actually not bad for what they are. I was researching pedals because at 48, Ive decided to revisit a childhood dream of mine to play guitar and having a love of electronics to boot, pedals just fascinate me. All that led me to buy over 20 pedals before Ive even learned how to play. Granted I bought a bunch of either used good name brand pedals and some cheaper ones like JOYO and Donner because Im fascinated with all the different sounds. I havent even really started playing yet and Im having a ball just playing with pedals and their sounds. Dont have any JHS pedals yet but Id be happy to buy some later on down the line eventually just to support your company because of your live and let live mentality. Ive never understood the people that say this is good or this is bad when it comes to music or art. I like to say, this isnt for me but if it floats your boat then keep on doing what you like! Music/Art is completely subjective, IDK why a lot of people dont seem understand that. Anyway, keep up the good work and the positivity of this channel!!!

IMO- A lot of critics are arm chair quarterbacks with zero skin in the game. Josh and the gang make great pedals. And he promotes other makers pedals. He’s the man!

The Toby Flenderson comment actually cracked me up. Josh doesn't really look like Toby, but his voice is eerily similar. If I close my eyes, I can picture Michael squirming in his seat in the conference room, about to freak out from boredom, as Toby explains the differences between soft clipping and hard clipping diodes.

Some of the messages are just too quotable. lol This went exactly how I figured and I'm happy to see that. I'm always tuning in and out when I see another great informative video on company history that I'm interested in. The things like "he has the box" are just icing on the cake. For the record It's never even crossed my mind once that you were pedaling, pun intended, or selling something on this show. Again, Nice job, I laughed this whole episode. This show is the best entertainment anywhere! I mean, where else can I experience top level knowledge about the most important subject on the planet, pedals, and where the same people laying down the knowledge are capable of improvising jam after jam? Okay wait. Back up. How many people are improvising music live online, period? How many people that criticize you guys are capable of doing that? I would venture a guess of maybe 1% at best. The rest need to shut up because they don't know anything and don't matter. As for knowledge of pedals, I don't need to explain to the haters of pedals how wrong they are. They are not worth my energy or time. Those of us who understand the basic need for pedals as a fact of life are the only ones that are worthy of a show of this caliber. The comment about Josh’s guitar playing made me laugh. 1) I love Josh's unruly curly hair - I have a grandson with that look, 2) I've been playing for over 50 years and I've learned licks and techniques from the jams and un-demos, 3) Josh's ability to say "buy this pedal" about other people's stuff is something I think the world needs MORE OF, and 4) I hate it when I miss the livestreams! You do you.

Guys, I haven't laughed so hard in months. This video has been therapeutic and loads of fun. You should do this more often, thank you. Also, I love you all.
As a person who likes 70 year old women’s hairstyles, pedals priced in accordance to the self indulgent owner’s greed, indoor stocking caps, and David Arquette, this channel really fits in my wheelhouse. I love it.
I like the relaxed pedal nerd vibe. Feels like hanging out with my old friends talking music and gear. Always have a laugh and the demo jams are great! Educational, Entertaining and Informative on wide variety of pedals.
Josh I think you can say that you've finally made it as a business owner in the pedal world when you have loyal haters. We all know sometimes guitarist can be snobs. F those people and keep doing your thing. You and your crew brings me joy.
Joshua's poetry reading really adds something to the feel of the jams. He lets the jam develop, puts in some cool words that put you in a moment, and then he lets the jam go on it's merry way while taking the listener along for the ride. I'll never tire of any members of the JHS crew doing something new to try add to the wonderful experience that the JHS show provides every time I watch.

I just want to say that I LOVE your theme song. It’s fabulously close to fun, nerdy after-school PBS science shows of my youth in the late 70’s/early 80’s, and it makes me smile EVERY time I hear it. And thanks for confirming my suspicion that not having guitar was just as intentional as I hoped it was. The fact that it’s the anti-Ice Road Truckers is just icing on the cake.

P.S. Now I am wishing you’d upload the theme to Apple Music. Please do.
My name is Mark. I've played guitar (averagely) for many years. Pedals I have fought with and misused and eventually I just went with a 6L6 100w amp. Josh you have brought joy to pedals again and you and your shows / whole channel transcend all the other channels that speak about pedals / guitar / music. All of you seem to be really happy, cool, friendly men. You are all a joy to spend some time with. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
The JHS Show has inspired me to enjoy playing guitar again, build a pedal board with a mix of classics and recommended budget (ish) noiseboxes I can afford , and just try stuff and rock out! The (off topic) nerdiness and chaos and weirdness is refreshing and unique and relateble to zillions of people out there. Keep it up, because this is exacly what the Tube needs in contrast to all the overproduced smugness and repetition. JHS is to guitar influencer social media what grunge was to poser metal in the early 90's, and I know cause I was there ... These hateful comments say more about the people writing them, than the JHS crew, the show, or the company. Do what you do, cause what you do is good. Very very good. (Also I love Josh's shirts!)

Painting it white with black 'generic trash' anti-graphics is an insult 2 the customer. it doesn't cost more 2 do it in 'pro' style like black box with some bright color 4 the labeling & stuff. The 'Sansamp' look nice even though very 'cheap' style 2 make = just simple black with yellow lines.

How can anyone hate on Josh? He helps guitarists understand how to get the tones in their head. And he is hilarious
To the point of your show being family friendly. I check in on my 73 year old mother quite frequently during a week. This is one of the few shows I watch with her when I visit. She thoroughly enjoys watching. In fact I’d say it’s one of her favorite contemporary shows to watch. In a time when TV and movies are just unwatchable, this show is something we can enjoy watching together. I thank you for that. Music was something that she made sure to support me with when my guitar journey started way back in the early 90s. Keep it guys.
Hi! I am writing from Sweden, and I had such a funny evening watching this show! Loved the way you answered them haters! And I have to thank you for your show! Watching this show educates me a lot of new and old guitar effects. And I love the way you present it… with a great sense of humour! Thanks!
Love the show (the reviews, the playing, the jokes). You all are amazing people ❤ thanks for all
Great show guys. As Fred Rogers used to say, “ You know, there’s only one person in the whole world like you. And I like you just the way you are.” There’s a great quote from President Roosevelt called, The man in the arena. It’s about a paragraph long and it’s worth your time to read it. IMO- A lot of critics are arm chair quarterbacks with zero skin in the game. Josh and the gang make great pedals. And he promotes other makers pedals. He’s the man!

Just wanted to say I love you guys and everything you do on this channel. I've learned so much about pedals and the history of guitar from you. You've helped me make far more informed decisions while building my first pedal board than I otherwise would have and I think you're an invaluable resource.
Josh I've learned so much watching this channel and enjoying this channel for the last couple of years. It has inspired my music and a new hobby of pedal hunting second hand stores in Japan. Can't thank you and your team enough.

You guys are so entertaining. I’m a 41 year old musician so I get it. I watch you while I work on guitars.
This was the best video you guys ever made. Some of the cutaways like the one about gaslighting and Josh is just staring at the camera with no comment are just hilarious. By the way the theme song is fine the way it is. It has always evoked a feeling of nostalgia which is perfect.
I really do hope you all do this on the show again in the future. Seriously, this video is hilarious. Even though Josh seemed anxious hearing the comments, listening to him (and really, just all of you guys) respond on air is great. Joshua has the right attitude about the whole situation!
Josh, I wouldn’t even bother giving the ‘whiners, bleaters and general moaners the time of day. You are not answerable to anyone but you and yours. People are people…………if folk don’t like what you do then they can pish off and take their bullshite elsewhere. KEEP up the great work
God damn, I nearly choked on my dinner when Josh said his motto was "live, laugh, love". Seriously, though, I'm honestly shocked people give you guys this kind of grief. I guess some folks just want to trash talk when they have the benefit of anonymity.
