We absolutely can do it this season, but I am a realistic Rebel fan. We are going to need to get past Georgia and will need a good seed in the CFP. Our schedule is very favorable and this team is special. HottyToddy

Not sure if we win the whole thing…but name one team that would throw a bigger party if we did. Make that first round a home game and it would be the best atmosphere the playoffs have ever seen. Wherever we go in this scenario, that town would run out of booze.

If you think ole miss is just all in on one year isn’t paying very close attention to 2025 recruits. Akylan dear the number one rb in that class is committed. This is a very good team and a program who has had 10 win seasons two of the last three years. Better get used to it.

I don’t know, but I love the new playoff format. I think it is more fair although I get both sides, to the argument, but I feel the same way about this that I do about name image likeness, and the transfer portal it’s just where we are now in today’s college football. I feel like some people are just resistant to change, but that’s the way it goes. I think it makes it more. Enjoyable teams have opportunity to win the national championship. and with the transfer portal, it gives the players better opportunities. The coaches always had the freedom to move wherever they wanted to move without any repercussions why can’t the players the ones on the field taking the risk have that same privilege I think name image likeness, and the transfer portal spreads out the talent and ultimately will create more transparency in college football now obviously I’m speculating time. Will tell with that, but I think some people that are against it or just resistant to change change a part of life I think sometimes you need to evolve, you need change it’s just where we are now in college football.

As a South Carolina fan, I'd love to see a team like Ole Miss win it all. Nevertheless, as seen in the Georgia game last year, I don't think Ole Miss has quite enough depth to win the whole thing.

  • @jakemitchell1671

Fair observation, but the Rebs have added significant talent and depth in the areas where GA showed its dominance. Also, OM was without both starting offensive tackles in that game, Dart was beat up, and GA had bowers back and riding high. It was the perfect storm for a butt-whoopin. As a 50 year Rebel fan, I can't fathom winning it all, but I do agree the possibility exists.

Then you haven't been paying attention. Now OM not only has elite talent but depth too. Everyone back from 11-2 team last year as well as the #1 portal class and the best incoming Dline recruiting class in the country from high school. No depth? 😂😂😂😂

@@tacticalmattfoley all games are must wins. Olemiss is on the verge of beating the teams they have historically lost against. They have beat LSU the last 2 out of 3 years. They don’t have Bama this year, so if they can beat LSU and GA then it should another 11-1 or 12-0 season. They will be in the playoffs regardless this year. We will see if they are able to win or not. This year they have a “Super team” After this year it’s likely back to 8-4, 9-3. The SEC is a tough conference to dominate. Especially now with the expansion.

Ole Miss has been playing football since 1893. Their glory days were in the late 50s and early 60s. Those days are gone forever. The portal and NIL gives them the opportunity to have some teams who might compete for top 20 status on a relatively regular basis. Will they ever win a National Championship? Almost anything is possible, but the likelihood is very, very low. Kiffin won't make it happen, but he's probably their best shot. After he moves on, they're probably relegated to their previous bottom feeder rung on the ladder. Great coaches are not beating down the door to set up shop in one of the most backward, low rent, undesirable states in the country. Short answer: NO!
