I don't know if you're terribly interested in the finer details of sports gaming, but I'll give them to you anyway. EA has one of the worst reputations of any business in the world. The Madden series is the best example of their practices. They over-monetize everything, and if a feature cannot feasibly be paid for by the player, then they put a skeleton crew in charge of its development or scrap it altogether. After a few years and fans begging them to bring it back, they put a pared down, bare bones version of it in the game and advertise it as "brand new". Madden has been in the gutter for the better part of a decade because of this. EA Sports is not the company you remember. What's worse is they now have an out. When the game comes out, and the inevitable problems arise, they can just say, "Well, we had to spend the budget for that part of the game paying players." And then when everyone (rightly) calls them out on their bullsh*t, they call them entitled nerds and don't fix anything, because as long as the microtransactions work, then they can consider the title a success. It's like if Ford released the new generation of Mustang with no wheels on it. Inevitably, people would ask, "Where the hell are the wheels?" Instead of the obvious response, Ford instead says, "We're still working on those, and you can purchase them from us in 6 months." When customers inevitably are mad about this, Ford responds, "It is unfortunate that a vocal minority of entitled, hardcore drivers have been attacking our company. We are constantly trying to provide you the best driving experience. Due to fan pressure, you may have back your wheeled driving experience for a nominal fee." This, and more, is why a lot of people are wary of this game, despite the anticipation. It'll sell like hotcakes because it's been 10 years since we got one, but considering the state of Madden, there is absolutely no reason to have confidence that it will be polished, or even finished, upon release. tl;dr: I would be over the moon about this, but EA is making it, so I feel only dread.

There’s a whole generation of people who didn’t get to grow up playing ncaa Saturday morning then watching college football that afternoon until now

Or watching your team play, then “replaying” it in the video game if they lost. Cause my team needs to have an undefeated record somewhere, right?

@Pseudowolf the grind of building a program is so much fun! You start missing the days when your team stunk and you couldn't get recruits. Hopefully there is logic in this game to have more realistic factors to keep team competitive. It's not as fun when your team gets it to a point it can auto go undefeated each year almost

Yea very good point!!! I cant wait. There is only one thing. I don’t like about the game from what I’ve heard so far but, overall o think it’s going to be awesome

The NCAA football games have helped me learn of how the plays are structured. This could help bring a younger generation into understanding the sport more.

I hope you have plenty of disposable income after the divorce because video games business models are a lot different now, and so is EA. It will be full of microtransactions for every little thing. EA is the worst when it comes to this. It's literally the only company I refuse to buy from

It was going to be in the game a few years before they stopped making it but the NCAA told them to take it out.

I came into this sport because of this game back in 2003-04

does anyone know if create a team will be part of the game? if so, st. agnes school for the blind and deaf is about to go on a run youve never seen before

I used to like football a little when I was younger, being a bama fan and all, but I think that NCAA 2013 made me really fall in love with college football.

Josh - I am seasoned person (as you said). I only liked college football BECAUSE of this game as a Canadian who never attended a US college. And I specifically picked up NCAA Football 03 because of how much talk there was about it on the Gamecube.

Good point about the madden engine they started to use in the latter years of the game, Josh. I remember when that was rumored, and I thought oh no, here we go they ruined it. However, they tweaked the play to give it a more college football feel. But man; it’s been over a decade and gaming systems are crazy good now compared to back then… so I can’t wait to see all of the goodies and easter eggs hidden in the new NCAA game. I have faith in the EA crew that they’ll get it right! 🤘🐂

I played the last game 3 whole years after they denouced it! I cant wait to actually bring The U back in this game. I also hope there's All-Time rosters.

Hopefully they don't turn it into Madden. That game got way too ridiculous to play.

Every college and NFL team has a portion of the fanbase questioning play calling every single year regardless of record and if you're missing that, you're just not paying attention.

Frostbite? That FPS engine? EA still can't swallow their pride and develop a different engine for their sports games?

The worst part of this game coming back is all the people who don't play video games who all of a sudden have a ton to say about it because they want the views and clout. I mean cmon man, your take away is that fans are going to be more annoying. Just stick to your lane and stop trying to be an expert on a video games.

I teach a youth program at my church. 15 kids under 15 and not one kid has heard of this game because it’s been missing in their lives for about 11 years. They’ve been robbed but grateful it’s coming back.

Will there be any value in signed copies of the game (unopened copies)?

I read enough comic books in the 90s to imagine there will be special additions of the game with the ambassador of the game on the cover with gold leaf packaging and a few extra features that will be limited edition and cost much more than the basic game for those fans who want their teams player on the cover. 🤑

Different dev team, took guys from cfb revamped mod to help. Alot is riding on this game to be good, if it flops it affects madden too

@@robertgates5164 in my opinion this game has to succeed or it will affect maddens sales. People have been waiting for this game for a while, if it is not good i think maddens sales will drop as a result. Mostly a straw that broke the camels back towards EA. Im aware this may be naive and people will buy madden anyway. Just my opinion tho.

More video game layoff from EA...EA is banning microstranscation.... Kids getting hook into Sports Gambling. What's wrong with microtranascation? well, you can money easy and fast.

50. I'll be 50 when I get back into this game, 😆. I disagree with not letting the Service Academies not get th NIL from this game. I understand why they are not, but they are doing the same as the non academy players. Plus if they get permanently injured in football, they stand to loose a 20-30 year career.

The service academies will be in the game. However the players won’t be able to sign a nil deal in which they receive money for their likeness. If a service academy player wants to be in the game they can and will but unlike the other players across college football they won’t receive any money.

600 dollars 😂 Ea Sports should of paid a 1000 or 2000.

Obviously it’s enough if players are signing up to be in the game. Some players would be in the game for free. Value is what somebody is willing to pay or get paid.
