@@darkunicorn1203 I think he's gradually being recognized for the immensely talented and fiercely dedicated actor that he is. And he seems so much more relaxed and assured in interviews than a few years back. Hope he continues to get to do a mix of "mainstream" projects such as The Crown and The Durrells [in Corfu] and indy films like the terrific God's Own Country.

all the wonkas (except for timothee's) were dark characters kind of on the edge of being crazy. gene wilder and johnny depp played them well and that's the wonka i know which is why seeing him as just this kind of happy ronald mcdonald type character on the last one was felt so off. josh would do a good wonka just from the way he played charles on the crown.
