@liammcknight3845
3 жыл бұрын
Who cares how the main band plays it? I change things all the time to suit my playing to be more economical. Don't change it just to be the same as the band. A big example is during dream theaters stream of consciousness. At 39 seconds, there is a riff where John stretches from the third to the 8th FRET! That is an insane stretch! So he plays 3rd fret on the A string and 8th fret on the D string. I play 3rd on A string and 3rd on the G string, muting the D string. It may not sound exactly the same since a G string has a different tone, but I would rather not ruin my fingers practicing that insane stretch when it sounds 99% the same hehe ;)

@@PuzzleDood you can probably work it out now from the video but the main changes are the intro and chorus... I almost think there’s two guitars here though playing a harmony because the two ways work. why would you even go like ... fuck it ?
Even with his mistakes... exponentially better than me :/ lmao
Few things to change ffs... wish they'd just tab it lol I actually the think the way I've been playing it is more economical lol

Also the intro can be played using normal minor arpeggios pattens....there’s a couple of other changes like lead up to the sweep picking...you can here the individual notes better in this video.

Decent cover...if he practises hard enough. He can actually play guitars for Sylosis
you should join architect..
He messed up like……3 whole notes…. What a loser….. (said no one ever) 😆👍
Play at 0.75x and it just sounds like Metallica 😂🤦

it is clear he has the technique, he just cant remember how some things go cause he probably doesn't play those songs like ever, so idk why you feel the need to leave a a negative comment unless you're insecure about your own ability lmao

What a retarded comment. He's obviously playing very casually yet still manages to sound clean. He probably rarely plays this nowadays. Do you think if he practiced a little he wouldn't nail it?

@@HaRDc0r3z You have to do a hard down stroke on the first note of the triplet. Use the momentum to do the remaining up, down. Takes a lot of practice to develop the endurance needed to pull it off.
no, not really.
