It's amazing at how much time and effort it takes to prove that the bible is the living word of God.

I started out my Christian journey in stages . Firstly on hearing the gospel I wanted to believe (but wasn’t sure). Secondly, I decided to believe (but had no proof). I lived for several years in stage two, which entailed joining a church. The trouble with this stage is that I found myself believing in everything that was said from the pulpit. This, in turn gradually morphed me into a religious person by rote, and moreover, a sense of self righteousness, as in faithful church attendance, good works (mostly done through gritted teeth!). My good works were my brownie points in order to ensure heaven. When did I know the truth? When this dawned on me, I no longer needed to believe and have faith - because I KNEW. Not everyone goes through this journey - many are blessed with KNOWING from day 1. But not every Christian really knows, especially when they are confronted with people of other faiths who believe just as wholeheartedly as you, and they make a good argument. It’s important to not only read the Word of God, but to study it too. Also, very importantly, is worship. A good pastor once gave me the key to knowing the truth and it was “Pray UNTIL you pray - praise UNTIL you praise and worship UNTIL you worship”. That is why scripture says to be renewed in your MIND. There are many verses about being renewed in your mind :- Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:24, Philippians 4:8, Romans 12:1-2, 2 Corinthians 10:5, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, Philippians 2:5, Colossians 3:10, Isaiah 26:3, and many other verses besides.

Yes, unfortunately most Christians think in an anthro centric way , I started thinking the Theo centric way few years ago , when I read and understood most of the Old Testament, I got to know Our Lord the way I’ve never known him before, I realized that the Old Testament was not about Jews or Israel, but was about the God of Israel, I came to realize that the size of his justice is exactly the same as the size of his love. His love is not more than his justice and vice versa. That’s why I decided to live for him, and be part of his Devine will.

@@kardiognostesministries8150 Hi, thanks for your comment. Jesus said my God and your God my father and your father. There is one God, the father 1 Cor. 8v6. Jesus also said the father is the only true God Jn 17v3, and Paul says there is one God and one mediator between God and men the man Christ Jesus. Isaiah says "I created by myself, there was no one with me". Check out the gospel that is preached in Acts, and the prayer in Acts 4. These are just a few of thousands of verses that give the impression that God the creator is only the father. There are a few verses that make people think that God is three persons, but the question is why do people choose these few rather than the majority. What is your reason if you don't mind me asking?

@@kardiognostesministries8150 When Jesus said to Peter "Get behind me Satan" this is the same as Thomas said to Jesus "my lord and my god" but I would suggest you are inconsistent when you do not accept that Peter is Satan but accept that Jesus is God. Both are "verses of truth"as you call them but not everything in scripture is to be taken literally. You explain one in a different way than you explain the other, but will not allow me to do so! You would probably say Satan is behind what Peter just said, but will not allow me to say God is behind what Jesus does and says. You probably do not believe Peter is Satan because you know from the rest of scripture that Satan is a spiritual being. I know from reading the old testament that God is a single person and would be sending a prophet and would put his words in his mouth Deut 18, Jehovah and his anointed Psalm 2, it pleased Jehovah to bruise him Isai. 53, my God my God Ps. 22, Jehovah said to my lord Ps.110, and the same in the New Testament: We are reconciled to God by the death of his son, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, etc. 99.9% of the old and new testament reads as if God is a single person and is the father and is not a man, just in the same way that 99.9% reads that Satan is a single person and also not a man. My question to you again is why do you choose to go against the first 99.9% narrative about God and not against the second 99.9% narrative about Satan. You may like to have a go at explaining the following verse. There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. I would expect you to explain 1: why a trinitarian author would put his belief in this way, and why trinitarians today never use this verse to show that Jesus is God. 2: Why does he make a statement that would make someone think that nothing has changed ie that there is still one God the father, and Jesus is his prophet, messiah etc. 3: Who is the one God referred to? Is it the trinity or the father? If you think it is the trinity (including God the son) you may like to explain how Jesus is mediating between God the son and men (considering that as far as I know trinitarians believe that Jesus is not a human person, but is God the son in a human body). If you think the one God referred to is the father, why make a misleading statement like this? In fact, I could argue that according to your method of interpretation, you could interpret what I say to mean that I agree with you. For example, if I say Jesus is not God, you could say that means that I don't believe Jesus is God the father, therefore since you also do not believe that Jesus is God the father therefore we are in agreement. I would suggest that the bible is also not in agreement with you. 4: If the author thinks Jesus is God, explain why he calls him a man. A man is an intelligent creature created by God. In Acts 17 Paul consistently explains that God is going to judge the world by a man whom HE has appointed ....having raised him from the dead. You really have to explain why Paul and others make these misleading statements.

Estimates of total past world population range from 117 billion to 35 billion. Whichever it is, it is still a huge number of people who never knew about Jesus. That means the "gospel" was NOT available to all. They weren't given the choice to know about Jesus (since he wasn't born until much later). That also means that all those billions of people who lived before Jesus' time did not have him dying for their sins. That makes God's decisions rather arbitrary. Also, I might point out that only 31% of the world's religions is Christian. Less than one third. My question - does God really play favorites and hangs out the non-Christians (majority) out to dry? (and remember, some of those religions are far older than Christianity) If everyone is God's children how do Christians justify promoting the bible and Jesus to non-Christians?

@@javageek123 Paul said he that sows and he that waters are one. They work together, they are not one being. The angel said to Mary when she asked how she was going to have a son that the holy spirit would come upon her therefore that holy thing would be called the son of God. So, yes Jesus is the son of God because he was conceived by God according to Gabriel. The bible says there is one God the father, so why is it foolish to believe this clear text. Jesus said he didn't know the day of his return, and God knows everything. As far as I can see from church history early christians believed that only the father was God, and that Jesus became greater by steps as time went on. Although this argument is not inspired, it is still what you would expect to find if the bible teaches that there is one God the father. Tertullian for example said the majority of Christians disagreed with his ideas, and that they believed in one God and accused him of preaching two and three gods.
