He does have an amazing voice. But the music business is quirky. Why is Bieber famous and not Josh? Talent is just not the only factor, or obviously not even the main one.

Not the most amazing voice by any measure. He was upstaged by the brilliant and actually talented Alanis. His voice is just about mediocre; maybe good for pub karaoke.

I didn’t hear it as Josh being upstaged by Alanis. He was respectful and didn’t try to overpower. It’s not an easy song either.

This is one of my favourite songs ever and this is a great performance. However I think she was held down a little, maybe by the show, if you see her other performances of the song, most are a lot more dramatic and energetic.

i've never seen alanis look so healthy and beautiful or sing as well as here. the music business clearly did not destroy her as it has many others.

Alanis got the power of singing with the mic and her mouth on the side. Usually, your body most be str8 forward with the MIC, not her and it sounds magical.

I agree. Alanis is such a unique voice, it must be hard to sing with her at the same time. So he's kind of singing under her. But in his other videos he has quite the range and power.

Far from his best genre. This song wouldn't do it for me, no matter who sang it. I'd have never listened to Josh again if this was the first thing I heard of him.
