Yea this is more so about us replacing Aj Dillon but also preparing for Aaron jones not being there. He got sum injuries last year so it’s ideal to get a back to carry the rb1 load if jones is hurt. Even more so better because neither back will have to overcompensate the other

Its a 2 back league now bro, Dillon was our #2 he strong af but slow asl. Jones 30 he can't get the high 25-30 reps no more cuz he old n gets hurt too fast. We NEED another RB cause Jones is injury prone unfortunately, def a beast when he's healthy tho. Also have a top 10 O-Line in the league, n Lafleur is looking to run the ball more take less load off Love's shoulders. not an upgrade but not a downgrade either. he needs to work out crazy this offseason. he came out of shape last year. it took him like 15 weeks to be in shape.... but he is a high character team first guy. so i can understand this signing. they will draft one at some point late rounds. probably a 3rd down back, fast pass catcher. (....) by the way aaron jones just signed with the Vikings lol.... jones is 30, jacobs is 26. and jacobs didnt carry the ball that much in college. so makes sense for the pack.

@@dodu8281 I don't really see him as a Jones replacement. More of a Dillon replacement, and at that he is a MASSIVE upgrade. I think the Jones replacement will come in the draft. We'll see then how much of a dropoff it is from Jones, if any.

Nah, hes not faster. Jones had a run this year that was faster than Jacobs had any time in his career. Talking top 15 speed wise for the entire league this year. Jones definitely has more breakaway, but not by much. Excited to see what's in store.

Jones didn't want the pay cut. Turning 30 this year. It was either him or Dillon. This is a lateral move for the Packers, cheaper running back, younger and still the explosiveness of Jones. Like a Mini Quadzilla but with a burst of speed. Dillon and Jacobs is going to be a run game NO one wants to tackle. Yes Jacobs has more carries, but Jones would have that as well if he wasn't injured as much.

Lacy had 1 good season then got lazy that was his problem. He put on too much weight and couldn't run as good. He also was injured a lot because of the extra weight

Jones never had an at or below league average efficiency. Jacobs has been at or below league average 3 out of 5 seasons. His career averages are literally the definition of league average. Jones one of the more efficient players in the last 20 years. Explosive more efficient players play very well with others. You get great production while spreading the ball around. Jacobs eats large amounts of touches but produces at a lower level reducing impact of other playmakers.
