When Josh was younger, his voice and singing were amazing. As he has gotten older and with life experience he became phenomenal. his voice has gained power and depth. This proves it! I was simultaneously blown away and bawling.

Adding to that, replacing If I Can't Love Her's reprise with Evermore would make for the perfect set of bookends for Beast's character arc. Starting it off with If I Can't Love Her and ending it with Evermore.

He was perfect for the part. I squealed and cried several times throughout the special. Beauty and the Beast has a special place in mine and so many people’s hearts. 💙

This was one of my favorite songs from the live action version, and the fact you got the chance to not only sing it again live on tv, but playing the Beast as well is one of the best full circle moments ever! Gotta say...that was pretty damn magnificent. People give too many standing Ovations, but that was well deserved and was special because they actually leapt to their feet. Ya don't see that too often.

Being a fan from the beginning, I have found it fascinating to watch Josh Groban’s voice evolve over time. From his early efforts relaxing his classical annunciations to adapt to Pop songs, to the pulling back on his signature vibrato in the last few years to this strengthening of his lower register, I strongly suspect Josh works very hard at honing his craft and continuing to develop his voice. BRAVO! A great artist and performer. You have enriched our lives Josh.

He did not play the BEAST IN THE film DAN STEVENS did and his version is much better than this pale attempt

I remember watching this live and thinking “Josh better sing evermore” and I literally screamed when he did!!

Josh Groban has one of the best voices I have ever heard. I had the pleasure to hear him live once, and his voice is breathtaking. You cannot appreciate his registry through youtube videos - once you've heard him live. He is me favorite vocalist.

Groban has a very special voice. Some people call it a baritenor because he can reach notes that a typical baritone can't. That makes his register super broad. I wish he did more musical theatre.

​@@irenesantonja1010He's still more of a lyric baritone. I definitely hear more baritone-ish sound in his voice than tenor-ish. He has a strong and relaxed low register while it's noticeable that it's much harder for him to sing in higher than lower range. Just a very good example of a lyric baritone 🙂

He's not only a wonderful singer but also a great artist.

This song proves why it was worth it to give the Beast a solo song in the 2017 movie. It does for this movie what "Dangerous to Dream" and "Monster" from the Frozen musical did for Elsa - it gives you a glimpse into a character's thoughts and feelings that the original work didn't do. (The BaTB Broadway musical had "If I Can't Love Her" as a Beast solo, but I feel like this song is better somehow. Although Josh DID cover "If I Can't Love Her" as well - it's on the Target exclusive version of "Stages").

I love this song and think it gives the beast much needed depth of character. So we know if this ever revives on broadway this song needs to be in it and Josh Groban needs to play the beast.

Nobody is there to his comparison in current times, he actually is the undispited king of vocals. In an age of fakes and fools, he shines brightly. Giving joy, hope and inspiration to all.

I love how Josh commands the room’s attention; yes tv can remove audio but no one in the audience is moving. They know they’re getting a Grade A performance from one of the better actors on Broadway

Josh Evermore is pure of his voice, no alteration. The post production didn’t lower the key nor added something to sound beastly. He was singing in his real known vibrato, middle baritone and hair raising tenor voice. Love his rendition❤️

For a Beast, he certainly sings with great Beauty!

Josh makes every song a classic - the best voice - the most soul - and this is his second century!

The Beast we all deserved!

I have been a Grobanite for 20 years now. His baritone voice is so powerful and full of emotion. He sang this song on the live action version's soundtrack. Both he and Dan Stevens, who portrayed the Beast in the live action remake, nailed it. To be honest, I think this live version is millions of times better than Dan Stevens' performance in the movie, and I thought he did pretty well. Josh is a gift to music. Thank you, Josh. I hope you get to be the Beast on Broadway. You'll bring the house down, as you did with your portrayal in this musical.

That would have been amazing 😍 And it would create a nice sort of book ends for Beast since If I Can't Love Her is still selfish in a way since he needs her love to set him free but the song still focuses on himself and his past mistakes. He still doesn't really understand how love works and it's terrifying to know his fate rests on him finding out. But then Evermore is him realizing he's finally learned to love. It's not enough like Something There where it's budding and sweet and she's helping him with his loneliness, Evermore is just how deep it is. That it's not just about her, but the love she gave him, the love he has for her, it's stronger than anything he's ever known. She's gone and yet she still has a hold on him. And unlike in If I Can't Love Her, he's not so depressed about his fate, he knows that no matter what happens to him now, he'll always have Belle and the memory. And even if it hurts, having learned to love fully and completely, it's made him stronger and he can face whatever comes next. If he's to rot away in loneliness, he still knew happiness once. Sort of the "better to love and lost than never loved at all" really.

Holy Cow, how did I miss this!!! my favorite of any time. Josh, you just get better.
