Thank you Mr Moyers! Your book The Power of Myth has had a great influence on me through my life. Your clear minded interviews with Joseph Campbell really helped me find my way into the sometimes difficult Masks of God series. I am fascinated by the idea of Star Wars being a mythology for now. The rising of machine intelligence surely carries the threat of an Empire style of dictatorship and more Jedi-like human connection to the Ineffable would be a good counter balance 😀 Anyhow, my sincere appreciation from Australia

I recorded the Power of Myth series on cassette tape over 30 years ago and listened to it often. I've since found it on CD, online, etc and have tried to always have a copy. Those interviews are an incredible testament to Joseph Campbell's work and maverick life.

“Use the Force, Luke...” is almost as iconic as “We're going to win this war not by fighting what we hate, but saving what we love!”

Anyone know as to what Mr. Campbell means by "the artist (Lucas)... is in a field that is not covered by our own knowledges"? Does he mean that it's a story that takes place in a foreign galaxy (and thus it's not something we know as well)? Perhaps that because it's playing in mythology, it's in the realm of the unknowable, but trying to explain it? Or something else? Thanks so much.
