I had the extreme honor to meet Laurie backstage when she performed at a NYC club. Her mother was with her that night and the two were just extraordinarily nice people. I fell in love with Laurie the first time I heard her singing on the recording of Joseph, and when I saw that she was appearing in NY I ran down to the city to see her perform. All the club had left when I got there was a bar stool and I gladly paid the regular price for the seat. Laurie had such talent matched with an amazing personality. Her voice could go from whisper soft to blow out the windows. And on top of it all, she was so beautiful. When I heard that she passed I was heartbroken. I still choke up listening and watching her here. We lost not only a magnificent star but a most beautiful person. I'm sure that the angels are being well entertained up in Heaven with Laurie, but we lost her way too soon. Will always love you.

I just saw this show again on 3/30/2014. I first saw it on my birthday back in 1995. This was the Canadian cast with Donny Osmond. He was Joseph, and Janet Metz was the narrator. I recently saw this show again on 03/30/2014. Diana Degarmo was the narrorator....and she was PERFECT! She could hit those high notes like no one else. This show is timeless, and the 2014 version of the narrator....who has the biggest part.....is the best singer this role has ever seen.

i performed this show in my middle school last year... everyone in the production hated it. it was the first repeat of a show (10th anniversary) needless to say, the 4 Stars (the kids who did drama from 5th-8th grade) were not happy. there was only like 4 lead roles so the rest of the people who normally would have received a role we’re put in as brothers and their wives (i was a wife- a severe step down from my lead as Lola in Damn Yankees the year before)

can't be the lead in every production....the ensemble can make or break a show...an enthusiastic, talented ensemble makes it awesome...an unenthusiastic one kills it no matter how good the leads are...be grateful for every show you get cast in bc there's always something to learn...humility is one of the lessons...if directors see you happily accept ensemble and do your best in it, they remember...if they see you as having sour grapes bc you weren't the lead, they remember and won't cast you again.
