A video were a top class pilot who is not a mechanic had to do a service stop and receive suggestions from the pro mechanics is super nice to learn something or at least compare the way each of us does things with the way they do and most of the comments are a collections of insults to the pilot or the team or the rules? I understand all other viewers must be better professional mechanics who are probably also better pilots than Garcia but for me this was a very interesting and instructive video, I 'd like to see other pilots at the same service stop.

In any event, when my family sees JP, we are cheering for him, he is always smiling!!!! He will be a big name in 2 wheel racing when he is smiling! Damn, even using the same mousses, that tire install took some effort, even with having a nice crew, sweet changer and tools, and excellent talent. I'm going to try a front mousse soon(I'm nervous, JP made it look semi easy, I know it's going to take some sweat) These racers work very hard racing then have to service their bike, hard core, when I'm riding and get a flat, I cringe, lol. JP wan't rushing, but was smooth FAST, just like he rides :) Big thank you for sharing the video!

No, you usually do not use front rim lock with mousse. Only on rear tire

Much of that excellent feel and traction of a new tire comes from that sharp edge on the knobbies. A tire refresher, the "knobby knife" is sold for the sole purpose of making that edge sharp again.

These are welded by mechanic. They look nice and huge, but are absolutely not recommended to use with Rabaconda, as they simply multiply force. When one uses force when changing tires with Rabaconda, something is wrong. Therefore, being able to use even more force due to extra long tire levers amplifies the problem even more.

It’s actually a bad idea. It takes away the straight end which works best on removal. When dismounting the first bead the straight end is a little easier to pull out.

Enduro discipline still goes by old traditional rules, where pilots must also be able to fix their own bike. Not like in MX. You need to rider well, plan your day, save you bike and do the maintenance in the end of the day
damn that rider is a better mechanic than some "proffesional mechanics" i know... amazing!!!

I thought you were not allowed to receive any assistance from anyone? These mechanics are def helping him..... Changing tubes, Spraying soap..... etc. Did they change the rules?

devotidchannel in easy words, at ISDE mechanics are not allow to work on your bike (except adding liquids). But they are allowed to perform auxiliary tasks (away from bike)

They should be force to work off the ground with tools carried on the bike like us poor mugs out on the trail 50 kms from 'pass me the 12mm' help. That way we might get some innovation/change/improvements that will benefit us poor mortals who buy their wares. After all, the moral justification for racing is that its imp[roves the breed.
