Joseki to Know in 2024 Part 1 - Star Point

Ойын-сауық

So the actual lecture was about an hour and a half, so I'm breaking it down into 2 parts. First up we have the 4-4 joseki sequences and the second video will have the common 3-4 joseki sequences

This is great! I'm exactly at the point in my DDK journey where I've absorbed your basic's concepts as a general framework, but need to start focusing on learning joseki because I never know what the right next move is. So I was seriously stoked when I saw the video title.

Good luck on your path through the DDKs. Just remember not to get too bogged down on joseki, you are focusing on (most likely) big points and cutting points.

Great! I've been learning this fantastic game for half a year. And have seen many tutorials, books and AI analysis. Too many. 🤪 🤕 And finally someone who not only goes after Ki, but also explains other valuable moves in an understandable way. 🎉🙏

I would love to see a 2024 lecture series from you. Searches for mini Chinese opening and only found your Lecture from 8 years ago.

Nice video! would love to see one on mid game joseki and strategy especially those that are more the side and middle of the board and less the corner.

Nice video. Such a great Joseki explanation! Very helpful. What have we learned: You better ONLY use the AI-second best move, LOL.

I started playing a year or two before the alpha go vs lee sedol game. I learned a lot of old school joseki starting out and still prefer to play in a slightly older fashion. I win a decent amount of my games by choosing older joseki and tesuji. I would love to see some videos on old joseki.

Ohhh, now thats a classic mistake. Do you see it a lot? You can either do the drop down variation or the clamp variation for a fine result. Ill try to remember to add it into part 2 or part 3
