    It's not a trick move.

It's not really a trick move, though. Tricky, yes, but it's quite reasonable.

It's important to know a trick move is a move that if responded to correctly is bad. They only work if the opponent makes a mistake. If correct play doesn't punish the move it's not a trick play.

This is a terrific video! Would you consider putting a short summary of which sequences are viable as joseki somewhere in the video? E,D,C all seem viable, but it's hard for me to distill the key points to remember. I think the takeaway is: 1). if black plays E, then D->A is the natural sequence. Typically ends in a stable position but B often will have the option of taking the corner. 2). If B plays D or C, white jumps up. C is probably better than D but both typically result in a fight. Is that roughly right?

Super, well done: thank you! Crystal clear, not a word spilled, and fun to watch. That invasion is very interesting, I guess not seen in the old days (30 years ago): was it considered a trick move in those days? Right now, with the aid of that super useful AI one can find the truth so much easier!

Variation E (black plays at F2) is also very interesting!! :))

It seems like this invasion complicates the board really fast and there's no way to avoid it other than knowing the variations. Nothing compared to the avalanche or taisha of course, but I'll have to review this a few times!

Great lesson but still I'm not sure which variation I like the most :D Generally, this invasion in this shape is always annoying, but black K3 instead of K4 doesn't look so well with the low corner enclosion Q3

What if the initial stone is at K3 instead of K4? Is the invasion no longer "a thing"?

So are H3 and J3 bad moves? Like white is better in both cases right?
