The Jose Limon Dance Company=Everlasting Beauty, Dance History that lives on, and Originality. Life is full of ups and downs and when you have a technique that centers on FALL & RECOVERY then you can relate to this movement more personally. I love this company xoxoxo I pray that they live on forever!

Apenas comenze a estudiar danza contemporánea y afortunadamente con la técnica del gran maestro José Limón. Simplemente uno se pierde en la belleza de la expresión corporal.

Wow, these dancers performed this piece absolutely beautifully!! First and foremost, José Limón's "Meditations on Ecclesiastes" is such a beautiful interpretation! Each stage, or "time," is very clearly communicated in a unique way. But secondly, the movement of the men really reflects and highlights their strength, especially through the falls and recoveries... Love it :)

I thought that was Nina Watt in "A Time to Laugh". What a shame we miss "A Time to Dance". Also the brilliant choreography of "A Time to Build Up and A Time to Tear Down". "A Time to speak and a Time to be Silent" It was wonderful to see these segments again. It was also beautifully danced. I consider this work a masterpiece.

Back in the 197O's I used to dance with Erick Hawkins... who was good friends with Jose Limon... there is no Modern Dance any more... it has all been co-opted by Popular Culture... unfortunately.
