Yes, me too. I heard him at the State Theater at Lincoln Center in "La Boheme" and thought that he was the next Gigli, but when he opted for that open sound and the heavy rep ala Di Stefano that finished him as it did Di Stefano.

Aveva una bellissima voce ma la teneva aperta senza coprirla ed era costretto a spingerla, così alla fine l'ha perduta.

Da ascoltare Mario Filippeschi fantastico…..Non è il repertorio per la voce di Carreras…queste scelte hanno rovinato la sua bellissima voce

Un tenor que su voz después de 15 años de su debut era una ruina y antes de la enfermedad. Un imitador de Pippo con los mismos defectos.
