@@thewalruswasjason101 okay? is this a fight between Strickland and ddp? did Pantoja cut Strickland like ddp?????? was his striking as effective???? plus g that shows stats dont matter, all people have been doin Is scoring this fight on stats (because they never actually watched it). not to mention the fight was a robbery anyways, same thing you dont win fights with takedowns and not when everything isn't equal. its not about Sean outlining ddp its about his striking having more impact, immediate and cumulative (aside in r2 I believe were he was cut). ddp was almost even on impact in almost every round, Pantoja just wasnt, he was behind on immediate and cumulative impact, the numbers dont matter because at the end of the day sig strikes have varying levels of impact and they've counted the pitter pat body strikes of pantojas as significant. plus the numbers are wrong sometimes and head strikes are never counted for more when there are by nature a more visibly impactful strike. honestly you just cant go with pantoja winning if you judge by the criteria, there's at least a case for ddp (even though he got lucky with that decision, could've very easily went to Strickland and probably should)

@@DerbyHarrington889 Yeah it's not just striking, but what did Pantoja do on the ground besides in the 1st and 5th round. The 1st round we all gave to Pantoja so no argument there, but in the 5th round he landed like 2 maybe 3 good ground strikes and that's it, he didn't get close to finishing Erceg on the ground, and he only got full mount briefly. That's not enough to make it an effective grappling round. He got out struck in round 5, and Erceg definitely had the most damaging shots of round 5. So again, how did he win round 5? If he got out struck, out damaged, and didn't do nearly enough on the ground to make it an effective grapping round, then how do you give it to Pantoja?. Let's not forget he wasn't even the one who got the takedown, it was a reversal. Then he laid on him, briefly got mount, landed 2 or 3 good ground strikes and hugged him from behind. Not enough ground and pound, and no submission attempts, it was never close to being finished on the ground. Therefor, Erceg wins 2, 4, and 5 AT LEAST. Round 3 was closer than 5, but you could even give that one to Erceg too. Pantoja only had one clear round, whereas Erceg had 3 clear rounds, and then there was the one swing round. The swing round didn't matter though, since Erceg won 2, 4, and 5 clearly. So yes, it was a robbery, quit defending bad judging just because you're a Pantoja fanboy. I was't even an Erceg fan until after this fight, but he made me a fan with that performance, and the Judges did him dirty, end of.
