Yeah. The guy's name is Marco Antonio Muniz. Him and Angelica Maria (the woman they show before Muniz), were very big at the time and could not believe it.

This song the writer wrote in on his way to his mom funeral so it's a song about the most important women in his life his mom

Beautiful person he brought much joy, with his magnificent Voice. His death was really sad and the surroundings of it. Thank you rich for the respect on This man This song makes my wife cry every Time.

I'm glad you enjoyed this, everyone here in Mexico loves José José, his music is always there in pubs, parties, ... people get drunk while listening to his music. He was, in fact, Frank Sinatra's favourite singer, he even ask José José for a collaboration but their music labels just couldn't get to an agreement so, sadly, it never came to be. Also, José José lost his voice due to Lyme disease, ending his career earlier than it should. When he died his body was transported in a plane of the Mexican Air Force from Miami to Mexico City.

Doesn't matter if you are Gansta, Hard core metal or Rapper...if you are Hispanic, when you are drinking with your crew and Jose Jose comes up, you start belting those lyrics alongside him!

Hey, this video is from 1970, yes, those were roses, the surprised guy was one of the most famous artists in those years his name is Marco Antonio Muñiz, the other guy claping was Alberto Vázquez and there was another lady before whose name is Angélica María, these singers and actors were the top, the best of the best and they were just amazed with José José's participation, as you could see all the people there wanted him to win but he only got third place. I want to share with you what he means to Mexico from my perspective. He was for many years really good at singing, unfortunately he was alcoholic and that made him lose his great voice, even though this didn't stop his songs live forever in all our hearts, he is always in every mexican party, his voice sounds everywhere, from north to south, every mexican knows at least one of his songs. I think that if he had stopped drinking, he could have gone through different ways, no body is perfect but he could still reach the greatest place in mexican culture. I highly recomend you to look for more of his songs and translations, you will understand why there are many generations who really admire him. Ps. I also recomend you to listen to Juan Gabriel, Pedro Infante, Alberto Vázquez, Luis Miguel... Well there is a wide variety of latin singers who were and still are legends... I'm in love with this song right now, def before I was born but for me I heard this song on the Netflix show "House of Flowers" and I loved the girls performance but to see this send shivers. Especially to know that this was a competition where he represented Mexico and he chose this song, this made him bigger than life. The 3rd place position for this was met with outrage seen how the public reacted. Way more info in this moment in history but I love seeing others react to this. I grew up with him knowing he was beloved in our culture but I never knew why. Tragic death and life story, his death was another moment in history that will not go unnoticed.
