    @@Awkward7176 It's not just the lack of voice actors, it's that they didn't mute any of the original audio. They just blandly translate everything a second or two after it's said, on top of the original audio track. It's like you're in a room, and the episode is playing on a TV, and there's a translator (who isn't particularly invested in his job) sitting next to it, telling you what Mr. TV is saying. It's the laziest thing I've ever heard, and it is glorious.

    POLISH DUB REALLY SAID GOOGLY DOOGILY! 🤣

  • @eandroid5483
    @eandroid5483 Жыл бұрын

    You can tell the translators messed up in Portuguese with the "hidely ho, neighborino". They just translated the catchphrase as "hi, neighbor". So, when it came to José and Lord, they didn't have any good way to use Flanders' own translation of "hidely ho" since it was omitted to begin with. They ended up adding the English version "ding dong dili" and "googly doogly" as is, which didn't make sense at all. There are so many Simpsons jokes that I didn't get it when I watched in Brazil lol

    This is a great video. I love the fact that the Italian and French versions used the words "Flanderiano" and "Flandersienne". Also, the Czech version of Lord Thistlewick sounds like a character!

    I'm not really sure how I got here, but that was interesting, so thank you lol. As someone who learned French in high school and college, it's interesting how different the French and Quebecois translations are. Also, this video really makes you think about all the wordplay and nonsense they had to attempt to translate while also keeping it's original comedic intent. I do not envy those translators lol

    Poland has interesting lingual habits. They are "bilingual", and prefer to watch shows in their original language, but with Polish dubs overtop. So they can digest the original voice acting talent, and then the actual information behind it. They get the performance of the original VA, then the explanation that its gibberish like Flanders, just European themed.
