great fight linares was way ahead on the cards old ref stepped in a little bit early .but de marco showed a tuff chin and i think linares was tired n got a bit slow n wham ..but fantastic fight n 2 guys that gave everything this is what boxing is about ..

Linares was done. The fact that he almost beat prime lomachenko about 10 years later shows the ref saved his career in a good way.

Linares didnt just slow down - Demarco broke him down w pressure and body shots and timing. Demarco is also a stronger puncher.

One of the best fighters I've ever seen and I've been around the block for 30yrs. Top 5 of all time.imo. Ali, the two rays,hearns, and j.l.

True, the problem was that De Marco was more powerful, heavier in the blows, both were in great shape, De Marco's physique his long arms and heavy hand had to suggest to Linares to stay at a distance as he had done splendidly in the first 6 round, the match changed when De Marco broke Linares' nose, he took more confidence, and when you take confidence he goes to a higher level of performance, because you feel the victory much closer, if De Marco hadn't broken his nose in Linares, Linares would have won quite comfortably. the psychology of the match is incredibly crucial, it takes very little to change the balance in the ring.

Por chistes se subia al ring con estrellas como winky Wright que eran de 160 y todos admitieron que Valero pegaba como un súper medio. No se si era esteroides pero si muchos confirmaron que era como el súper ratón 🐭. Los que lo vieron en campamentos todo ablaron lo mismo. Que en los brazos o adonde te deba era como piedras!

Guau cuanto fanatismo, golpe con el codo, claramente se ve el golpe limpio que la abre la parte superior del tabique, en esa misma repetición también le abre la ceja derecha, cheque la repetición. Linares es un grandísimo boxeador, no hace falta justificarlo en cosa inciertas, por cierto de las 5 derrotas que tiene Linares, curiosamente 4 han sido con mexicanos y las 4 por KO, aun así mis respetos para Linares.
