After defeating the Socceroos in the Quater final of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar, South Korea meet Jordan in the first semi-final of the AFC ASIAN CUP, an unlikely underdog who has defied the odds to make it this far for the first time in the nation's history.
The sides previously met in the group E groupstage where an own goal by Al Arab in injury time spared the Taeguk Warriors their blushes with the reds equalising to make it 2-2.
Jordan however, will take confidence in that result as they look to make it to the AFC ASIAN CUP 2023 final, their first major final in history.
Jurgen Klinsmann's side has had a disjointed campaign thus far, relying on late goals and set plays to progress past Saudi Arabia and Australia while they also drew against Jordan and Malaysia in the group stage.
Whereas Jordan needed an own goal to beat Tajikistan in their quarter-final.
The semi-final takes place at Ammad Bin Ali stadium in Al Rayyan Qatar,
the predominantly arabic and Jordanian crowd create an intense atmosphere for the reds to face, who struggle to get into the game. Jordan dominate the chances with multiple shots on goal, opening the scoring in the second half thanks to striker Yazan Al-Naimat, this is quickly followed by a second goal by Montpellier forward Musa Al-Taamari who makes it 2-0. The final score is Jordan 2-0 South Korea
Jordan will progress to play in the AFC ASIAN CUP FINAL AT LUSAIL STADIUM, QATAR ON SATURDAY.

As an Britis, I don't know much about Jordanian football. I was amazed by the power of their attacks, though. Korean team's defensive ability has dropped in the absence of Kim Min-Jae. Several defenders who play in the Asian league are clearly lacking in quality. Korean team's forward line was tired from two 120-minute matches. Good luck to the Korean team anyway.🏴❤️🇰🇷 I also hope that Hwang Hee-chan can calm down the mood and return to Molineux Stadium. The team desperately needs you at the moment.

I felt the korean forward line looked rather toothless for most of the knock out round games until the extra time period against Australia, prior to that they struggled to break down and create chances . Thanks for watching mate, Final coming up Saturday if you have not subscribed already
