Gotta love the way he resets his feet as a passer and keeps his eyes downfield. Doesn't panic if his first read isn't open. He can definitely run, but he doesn't rely on it more than he needs to. Hopefully he can completely recover from that leg injury and get a year or two behind Aaron Rodgers to sit and learn. Whole lotta potential for the Jets to tap into here.

Can’t ask for a better situation to learn behind Rodgers and Taylor since he has a similar play style. He reminds me of Jalen Hurts. JD before the draft said he’s been studying how the packers have built quarterback. I’m excited to finally have a guy who can sit and learn from two veterans for 2 years with out being thrown to the wolves. Awesome pick and an exciting future for this jets team.

His last highlight is the embodiment of his tape. The Arm angle, the feet, the velocity and the touch. Especially on those jump balls. This was too fun to watch

Elite talent. QB evaluation is still busted. Him and Devon Leary are better than any of last years QBs beyond Stroud and Levis. This year, nothing that Penix, Maye are showing that these guys don’t have or better.

So, this is more a testament to your understanding of the game ability to identify talent than mine. Props. But yeah, crazy deep draft in receivers and qbs. This year, teams will burn picks on qbs and wide outs in the first round, when they can get the same talent in 2,3, probably later.

@BasicBobby I agree so much. I've been telling everyone of my fellow Commanders fan to get a QB late. I watched most of there film and you nailed it on Leary. I also like Pratt. Much rather get MHJ or Nabers and a QB later. I just don't see the gap being that huge on film between alot the QBs.

I love JT and he progressed so much from just last year. I personally don't see him being a very good NFL QB. It took him so long to get to this level as a college QB and NFL teams can't afford that luxury. The pros are he makes things happen with his legs, but his overall accuracy, especially on the deep contested balls, is pretty low, so his arm strength is lacking. His play making ability isI nice for a college level QB, but everyone is athletic in the pros and he will most likely stay injured and eventually be out of the league. I hope not, but just my take.
