Hopefully this new coaching staff has some sense and puts Malita in over Dillard. I know its supposed to be "training camp battles" all around but you gotta take this dudes film into account. I get the vibe dude would die for his teammates. He plays with so much aggression plus dude just doesn't stop. Even after the whistle he will shove a bitch lol. Could you imagine Malita lining up side by side with Dickerson holy shit and people are scared of Brooks and Lane lol. If this O-line can stay healthy I'm calling it now top 5 in the NFL. If they can swap Issac out for Dickerson top 3.

Great pickup 'Breaking the Birds'. I would never of seen this awsome illustration of Mailatas development otherwise. The play also shows how much the game has slowed down for him to have the vision to stop the sack/hit. He could of said to himself in that split second ...not my assignment, not my problem but he didn't. Instead he said my job is to protect my QB and that's what he did.

Thats very reminiscent of one of the best blocks ever executed in college football history by a guy who's now a stud in the league, Quenton Nelson when ND played UGA in his final season before getting drafted. I remember nfl network showing that play over and over again whenever they were talking about Nelson. Obviously, JM is not QN but he clearly has a lot of potential and is already realizing some of it.

I’m a die hard cowboys fan, with that said, I will say this early in Mailata’s career; Mailata, when it’s all said and done, will go down as THE GOAT 🐐 as far as LEFT TACKLES goes in the NFL. Simply because he is “REDEFINING THE LEFT TACKLE” position. 💯

Great thinking by Mailata but the guy was barely gonna touch Hurts in all likelihood, as the ball had left his hand when the defender was still 3 strides away. I'm glad Jordan was there to deflect him just in case the guy was gonna take a cheap shot at Jalen, but he would've probably been flagged as it would've been an egregiously late hit, if he did make serious contact. But like I said, he likely wouldn't have done much more than put his hands on Hurts to bring himself to a halt. Stoked for the season!!
